@NateSmith87 It's called evolution, my dude. The band isn't gonna keep making the same exact songs over and over. John Kempian left the band without notice. Brian writes basically all of the riffs in TBDM. When they recruited Ryan Knight then Brandon Ellis to follow, they set the bar high! Everyone was shocked at the loss of Trevor but these guys did the right thing. Got the 2 best lead players the band has had and continued making music with Brian on vocals. Brian is and always will be TBDM's sound. It's not a Black Dahlia riff or song unless it gets his approval. He's the heart and soul of this band moving forward. We all miss Trevor but he would be super proud of these guys right now!

I've seen TBDM over a dozen times. From the Metalblade 25th anniversary tour in San Diego with Cannibal Corpse over a decade ago to a tiny venue in Richmond a few years back. Three broken fingers, one broken ocular, and a couple of cracked ribs across my the last 16 years of brutality in the pits. Deathmask Divine is my favorite song and got me through some very difficult teenage years, along with plenty of adult ones. The loss of Trevor feels like the loss of a family member. And today, on my 32nd birthday the only thing I have to say is that I'm proud of you all for deciding to continue with the legacy rather than let it fade. The next time you tour you'll find me in the pit. Pink hat on, burn wounds visible. Love you all
