The best part about this is that this is still the real The Black Dahlia Murder. They didn't just grab a new guy off the street to do vocals or guitar, they brought a classic member of the band back into the group. It works so well.

@NateSmith87 It's called evolution, my dude. The band isn't gonna keep making the same exact songs over and over. John Kempian left the band without notice. Brian writes basically all of the riffs in TBDM. When they recruited Ryan Knight then Brandon Ellis to follow, they set the bar high! Everyone was shocked at the loss of Trevor but these guys did the right thing. Got the 2 best lead players the band has had and continued making music with Brian on vocals. Brian is and always will be TBDM's sound. It's not a Black Dahlia riff or song unless it gets his approval. He's the heart and soul of this band moving forward. We all miss Trevor but he would be super proud of these guys right now!

I've seen TBDM over a dozen times. From the Metalblade 25th anniversary tour in San Diego with Cannibal Corpse over a decade ago to a tiny venue in Richmond a few years back. Three broken fingers, one broken ocular, and a couple of cracked ribs across my the last 16 years of brutality in the pits. Deathmask Divine is my favorite song and got me through some very difficult teenage years, along with plenty of adult ones. The loss of Trevor feels like the loss of a family member. And today, on my 32nd birthday the only thing I have to say is that I'm proud of you all for deciding to continue with the legacy rather than let it fade. The next time you tour you'll find me in the pit. Pink hat on, burn wounds visible. Love you all

Goddamn I am so fucking happy this dropped today. Been listening to TBDM since high school in 2008 and was heartbroken when Papa Trev passed. So fucking happy to listen to and be a part of this new chapter of the band's lore. WE ARE BACK BABY!

Trevor would be proud, true feeling, beautiful sound to wave my hands from side to side like a bandmaster, just like Trevor would. Greetings.

I'm glad these guys are still holding it down! Servitude is such a fitting title for this album following the tragedy of Trevor Scott Strnad. I'm glad this album is dropping in my birth month! Nothing warms my darkened heart like the crushing riffage that these gents have pioneered.

I remember how more than 15 years ago The Black Dahlia Murder came into my life out of nowhere, and yet their music continues to move me. Trevor is so proud of you, guys. 👏

I miss this band, watch the concert when they visited my country in 2007, when Trevor Passed away it was devastated to all fans around the world, but thanks when this song released, I believe the band will continue no matter what happens in the future.

Man, listening to him singing had my eyes watering. Trevor would be proud and it's an awesome song and homage to his best friend and bandmate. This is the only time that a death from a band actually hurt.
