I love The Black Dahlia Murder. I consider them as one of my most favorite bands. I love their guitar work and drums and vocals. But when it comes to this that i have the chance so hear some of their material in orchestral version its like i discover a paradise.

it's particularly relevant with this band as you don't even have to alter the music they wrote. It seems to be heavily inspired by classical music (pun intended)

100%, the thing is that the vast majority of bdm songs are written in harmonic minor, which is a scale most people associate with classical music, which indeed was heavily used back then, some of the riffs from nocturnal and such sound like things bach might have come up with at the time

The arrangement during verses is pretty terrible. This is not a hard thing to arrange... I feel like it was over complicated. The parts that are good, however, show how amazing a well done quartet approach to TBDM could be. I don't think we'll ever get it, unfortunately. We need a patron to fund such thing!
