Yemen is having many problems at the moment, but the most obvious to me so far has been the shortage of gasoline. We've driven over 14 hours so far from the Oman/Yemen border to the city of Mukalla, and it was a wild experience every time we had to stop at the gas station.
Instead of using normal gas stations (which are mostly out of gas), there are young kids on motorbikes who track you down on the road and offer to fill up your car with "illegal" gasoline. The price has increased 300% over the last few years because the of the short supply.
What's ironic is that Yemen does sit on an abundance of oil reserves, but unfortunately, they are being taken advantage of by their neighbors and are unable to use much of that gas for themselves.

Man. Nostalgia. I remember onboard my ship Anchored near makallah port waiting for ship to ship discharge of our oil cargo. We were carrying gasoline from um qasr Iraq. I remember small boats peddled by these teenagers would come across our ship, and i would give them pepsi, bread and snacks cuz i would have it in abundance. Sometimes they would trade it for big tunas they freshly caught. And i remember we deck cadets would collect gasoline from our manifold which would get contaminated sometimes and not to be put back in tanks again. We would collect it and give to these boats . Sometimes 10litres or 15 so. And they would trade it for very big king fish. After that we would fry it and eat while watching movies in our smoking room of our ship. Great memories. I pray the conditions in yemen improve.

@@humblebee8334 travel videos don't always say the full story . Compare crime rates in Pakistan with that India w.r.t. population. Btw you wouldn't be saying Pakistan is safe if you were non Muslim especially if you are a Jew or a Hindu or Buddhist . In India you can also wear western dresses ; with only restriction being you be careful about going to odd secluded places . In Pakistan even a slightly non-conservative attire is treated with contempt. You can still speak about safety issues in North India ; but South India is perfectly safe ; the south is literally safer than even most western countries .

Well Drew, we faced a similar situation in my state, people where buying stolen gasoline and these huachicoleros, as we call them, sell these robbed liters of gasoline to actual PEMEX gas stations for 3 pesos a liter and they sell gas for 18 pesos a liter, so once these robbers were not robbing because president closes oleoducts, and transports by pipes, there was huge gas shortages and it’s price raises to 21 a liter which is expensive. Because we’re so isolated, gas in New Zealand can be anywhere up to $2.30NZD sometimes. It’s crazy expensive. Right now it’s 1.90 to 2.10

The problem is few people on this earth🌎 got greedy for money, oil or for resources on earth that every good, hardworking and honest person is suffering with shortage of basic necessities... You know that earth 90 %resources are used by earth 10 % population.. Rich people even exploit more because they have money.... Most of human Will continue to suffer in this century.....
