I would totally report any duper / macroer / hacker if I am promised a (non tradable) booster cookie. Especially at current prices. If I was in early / mid-game, I would definitely keep my eye out for reports for that juicy 4m free cookie. In conjunction to this, they should honestly bring back helper roles. They currently don’t have the manpower and responsiveness to deal with and ban these players until its too late.

@@5beve68 If they added a helper role that had limited moderation access like temp ban (but not wiping the account’s progress) and kicking, these helpers would probably be able to get the job done until the admins can perma ban / stop these dupes. To put it into perspective, if you saw a dupe happening, you could probably contact a helper that is online through discord for which then they can act accordingly. Right now, there’s no proper way to contact admins directly which means that even if you saw a dupe happening live and reported it, they probably won’t see the report in time (or even be archived since there’s no real report system for duping other than the one on the forums which hardly anyone uses). As for who to give these roles out to and how, hypixel will probably have to figure that out.

My Skyblock profile was wiped when my coop member (he was an auction flipper and made tens of millions every day from that) IRL traded-much to my skepticism. I refrained from selling him out as I feared our coop would get collectively wiped, and I didn't kick him from my coop as he is my friend. Alas, everyone will eventually face the consequences of their shortcomings, and my friend was no different.

I've done that for like a year when it was new. Coins were pretty expensive, my partner and me probably made 20-30k doing that. We spent every making alts to use minions to farm coins, it was very time consuming but worth it at the time. On late 2020 we stopped because 1- coins started to become useless 2- we got banned on almost every account It was a good time, we never scammed anyone, we actually got scammed a few times I had like 40 or 50 accounts with vip on hypixel (we bought the rank to have more islands xD) Edit: I got my verified Paypal account suspended too :(

The admins have quite a good system in place to ban buyers and sellers. However, when I was flipping I saw a crashed market and instantly made a sell offer and it got filled for way more than normal(basically market manipulation flipping but I didnt have to manipulate for it). Now that im banned I realize that it probably was a duper buying out the market to give his coins to a buyer. A lovely way to lose my 1.5k hour profile. It also doesnt help that on my appeal where I explained all of this I just got the basic automated message and my other methods of contacting the admins have failed

Kinda late to the party here, but I have an interesting anecdote because I’m 99% sure that I’m a victim of one of the sketchier methods propping this market up: hacking and looting of profiles. Back in 2021, I had a profile that had ~350mil net worth at the time, so I’d imagine that’s significantly more now considering inflation. Anyways, I logged off for about a day, and when I returned, the profile was gone. I spawned into a new profile, opened up my profiles to switch, gone. I received no warnings or bans, and hadn’t participated in any sketchy trades or AH or bazaar behavior. Considering that at the time, my password behavior left a lot to be desired, it’s easy for me to believe that my login info got skimmed and was used to loot my profile. 350m at that time seems like a good balance between making a decent amount in irl trades, while not being such a big profile that it was noticeable on the scale of the whole server. It was a lesson for me in internet security, and honestly, I wouldn’t have been so upset about it if they’re only taken my stuff and left the profile, I had 44 mining and was top 1k acacia. I had this happen to a friend and myself on a different account recently the "hacker" or "script kiddie" I should say baited my friend into joining a discord server under the guides of "it's a dungeon party" and then via discord verification they got into my friends mc account, logged in moved everything to another account and deleted his profile leaving him with nothing, and the worst part was that he did report and what did the admins of hypixel do? Well it was the same generic support message they always give you. "The security of an account is the owners responsibility" like fr he reported it seconds after it happened and they didn't do one thing.

The ratters are pretty convincing for young, desperate people as well, with fake hypixel branded images. Some guy partied me and offered a rank upgrade if I won a duel for youtube. I won and he asked for my minecraft email address, and asked for some single use code from microsoft, probably to reset the password. I knew he was trying to rat from the start but I’m sure many would’ve fallen for it.

If this is too late to send this, I do have personal experience from a ratted account. It started small, with only a "few" items going missing, like a few of my accessories and active amour set getting stolen, then everything was taken. I have fixed my account by changing my password and factory resetting my computer, but it was a lesson learned. I got the virus from trying to find mods to make my life easier in minecraft, so NEVER DOWNLOAD MODS FROM AN UNTRUSTED SITE.

I think making perfect / flawless gems nonstackable is definitely a clever way of tackling duping: now they all have UUIDs (a unique number that only that gem has) and hypixel automatically deletes any two items in the same lobby with the same UUID. Basically it's _literally impossible_ to dupe perfect gems now (I believe you actually can, there's some cooldown for the checking that you can overload and then warp out the lobby etc etc but shhh, it's not hard for the admins to manually go and delete all items with a certain UUID since it's so easily trackable). It would be cool to see something done about vertexes since they're obviously required to be stackable for crafts but also very high value and so off the top of my head the prime candidate for duping, a smarter someone than me needs to figure this out tho aha

14:42 while these prices may seem cheap compared to the official roblox website there are MUCH cheaper ways to buy robux. For example you can find people selling clean robux on discord servers or online forums like v3rm where robux is sold for 3$/1k to 3.5$/1k before tax (Roblox takes a 30% cut). Poisoned robux (robux that is obtained through account hacking / other illicit methods like refund methods) can sell for even less than this but of course you are much more likely to get banned with poisoned robux. Limiteds can sell for even less however you have to actually sell the limited for robux to get the robux. Rates vary but bad items can sell for very low like 1.3$/1k
