Welcome to Minecraft, we got people who built a one to one replica of a city, someone who built a actual functioning Minecraft computer with the processing power of the computer memory cap that took people to the moon, and a bunch of people that made a collaborative effort and ended up with a central processing power that would place it at 33rd in the global supercomputer ranking, above America’s strongest supercomputer, just for the sole reason of finding cactus. I’m also adding a group of people trying to build a 1:1 replica of the world or something like that

To be honest before we as a species should focus on interstellar travel we should just get any working space program. The best we have right now is the international space station I think, and a few rovers in various places. We should already be living on Mars and Venus and learning from those how to adjust earth to be habitable forever. Once we get to that point sure let's fire up the star drives or star gates even! It's just a shame that after the Apollo missions space development stalled because honestly if we built just a few things like the space slingshots it would be the beginning to a lot more space developments in essence being the equivalent of Rome paving the first roads.

Mathematicians wastes time on useless concepts all of the time. When “i” or √-1 was first introduced in 1545, everyone back then thought it was just a nice curiosity without any practical application or even straight up nonsense. We know now that it’s one of the building blocks behind how the internet works (FFM) and the basis for quantum physics but back then it was considered practically useless by almost everyone Give it a few centuries (or a few decades seeing how fast technology is advancing) and a use will come out of this outside of Minecraft Edit: Actually considering the nature of the Information Age today there’s probably already 10 projects that uses the code of this to do other stuff

So, in theory, the highest possible cactus in Minecraft would be a 120 block tall cactus located on the corner between 4 chunks, assuming that every single cactus in the chunk by sheer coincidence generates on the same block.
@francenkovcan5211
@francenkovcan5211 8 ай бұрын
technically a 40 tall cactus is possible, since at an intersection of 4 chunks all of them can have conditions that would make all 10 of their cactus blocks to spawn in the exact same block, it is basically as likely as all energy in the universe accidentally funneling into a single point in space

if someone does invent 4 chunk finding that would increase the record significantly. Based on what you told me, with only one chunk, the theoretical wr is 30. ut with two chunks next to each other, the next highest is 60, and of course with 4 chunks being next to each other, the highest possible cactus would be 120 blocks

8:00 for those that wants to know more the "seed" in this case, is the seed of java's Random Number Generator. Minecraft Java edition is... made in Java. and Java's RNG is actually a pseudo RNG, so it's not truly random, you can get back the same "random" numbers by setting the seed of the RNG, just like how you can get back the same world by setting the world seed. I don't know much about seed cracking since I only do plugins which is net Minecraft server, and not mods or whatever, which would be net Minecraft world

So, ignoring the trivialities of such as the seed existing, what is the hypothetical highest cactus that could ever generate? Can failures to generate cause cacti generation to navigate multiple chunks? Are there any structures that include cacti to potentially stack standard cacti generation on? Has cacti generation changed at all in different versions in a way that would make different heights possible? What about any April Fools update things like Snapshot Infinity?
@HellCastleYT
@HellCastleYT 8 ай бұрын
its like theoretically possible that all 8 surrounding chunks could generate every cactus in the center of the 9th center chunk that the center chunk also generates to be really big and from a sand block at the bottom of a ravine at y=1 and create a sky limit cactus but the chances of that existing are so close to 0

I remember my first minecraft world Unfortunately my computer broke and was unable to make a backup or even a screenshot but I do remember 4 distinct aspects of the world seed -was created in 1.0 or 1.1 (before Jungles were added in 1.2) -near spawn is a river -one side of the river has a desert biome -other side of the river is a forest biome with a cave that has two surface entrances either side Unfortunately these unique aspects of terrain generation means that a similar type of generation is significantly rare

the gpu vs cpu issue here would have easily been solved by the architecture of the Cell processor, since it's built similarly: a single PPU and 8 SPUs that can all work in parallel. it's hard to program for. but the workload capacity is insane. i wish the architecture hadn't been abandoned.

Accourding to this, a 120 block tall cactus is possible theoretically if 4 groups of 10 3 block tall cactuses combined in one corner, but it would be near impossible.

Minecraft is probably the best at being a game which, somehow, functions even though almost every part of it's programming is functionally limitless. Cacti have a range they're SUPPOSED to spawn, sure, but if the code dictates that it CAN spawn over that then the real sandbox becomes "but how much tho?"
