I think that Blackbeard is actually the blood descendent of joy boy. We see a lot that bloodline doesn’t matter as much as inherited will or traits so I think that’s the way to make black beards origin make sense he’s known more than most people since a very early age like some family secrets passed down but when something happened to his family he became a much more vindictive D unlike the others.

To add to the Zoro vs Shiryu fight, when Fujitora was in Dressrosa and the people were screaming and running from Birdcage (i think), he said he could feel how the people felt and the anime had it were you could see the form of the people but not their features. Shiryu's murderous intent through his blade is more than enough for a blind Zoro to feel and counter.

Another that comes to mind is Devon taking Garp’s form if Blackbeard actually strikes a bargain with WG. Garp could remain on Hachinose, while Devon enters the Holy Land. She could then take Saturn’s form and enter virtually any room they’d want.

I kinda wish luffy and his crew would start to realize the gravity of his position in the story now. He’s a yonko, and essentially already has access to two of the ancient weapons, and is in a position where he’s going to be pursued constantly by not only Blackbeard, but other pirates as well. I just kinda hope either the grand fleet, or shanks or other string characters can kinda realize his position and help luffy accordingly in areas he isn’t able to pay attention. That’s one issue I have with one piece, I understand luffys archetype is that he wants to be the most free man on the sea, but also with that comes a lot of responsibilities, people coming to take your spot, and it’s not always something luffy can punch his way out of. Idk maybe oda didn’t intend the story to go that deep but I’d love to see luffy in a situation where he realizes “hey I’m responsible for all these territories, I have access to these ancient weapons that even the government doesn’t, maybe I should step my logistic game up” and hopefully black beard will cause luffy to realize this

If you think about it. Each member of the Strawhat crew has their own sudo-grand fleet of their own. Zoro has the Wano samurai, Jimbei has fish men and his former Sun Pirates, Sanji has Germa 66 or Kamabakka Island, Robin has the Revolutionary Army, Ussop has the Elbaf Giants, Chopper has the Minks, Nami I’m not too sure maybe Skypiea idk, Brook I’m also not sure but something with souls like Big Mom’s chess soldiers or homies OR Gecko Moira’s undead army idk. The idea of Laffitte warning Blackbeard about shanks is really interesting. And to the point of everyone knowing he’s on hachinosu, I wonder if it could actually make a lot of sense - the only times shanks has been sure of where to find Blackbeard were - WBs ship - Marineford - Hachinosu So I wonder if there’s a specific reason he wants to catch Blackbeard alone. Maybe he knows that Blackbeard has a way to sacrifice / use large crowds for something and even if it’s beatable, many more people would die than needed. so shanks would rather catch him lacking somewhere else as long as Blackbeard still isn’t quite ready to do whatever huge thing he’s planning

I've always found it convenient that Garp was no longer taking care of the fishmen royalty when the whole Shorahoshi incident happened. I would've loved to see Garp finally take a stance against the tenryuubitos. Up to this moment Garp does not deserve all the praise he gets from being "a good marine". He's always been wishy-washy. He let Ace die, he helped the tenryuubitos against Rocks pirates. The way I see it, he has always been functional to the system. At the end of the day he just lacks conviction

Zoro could have ran Lucci at anytime. He started playing with Lucci before the island went crazy, he has no idea about the anything that developed after he engaged Lucci, but as soon as he was told to stop playing he just gripped up and ended the fight, and any Zoro fan knows he didn't try. -1 sword, and he still didn't even pull out the banny. I'm a Lucci fan but Zoro is the one I'm questioning here. He knows Lucci wasn't his only job on egghead, so it doesn't feel right to me that Zoro played with Lucci until Jimmie updated him. I think Zoro would have wanted to drop Lucci quick and make sure he is there for anything that might actuall hurt his captain

Let's examine Blackbeard's motives and actions. Blackbeard wants a country acknowledged by the WG. So naturally, what he's after is leverage. How can Saturn's visage gain him leverage? Well, Blackbeard knows about an individual who blackmailed the government. He had an agent on the island at Dressrosa. A plot point that never went anywhere. Blackbeard shouldn't have known Saturn was on the island, so my assumption is that he was originally after someone reported to be on the island. Doflamingo expects an assassin to show up. I think BB would also expect Doffy to be assassinated in Impel Down. So what if he had a WG assassin confront Doflamingo in Impel Down? What secrets might he spill if he was threatened in such a way? Perhaps the very secret that allowed him to have his own pirate nation? I think BB was originally after Lucci or Kaku's image. But Saturn had more applications beyond threating Doffy in Impel Down. And even if Saturn died on the island, Doffy was moved to solitary so he wouldn't know. It's a flawless plan.
