The blackest of all black inks is in the cartridges for the Pentel Pocket Brush pen (and no, you can’t buy it in a bottle).

But the Pentel Brush Pen Ink is India/China ink too, very pigmented. It isn't a fountain pen ink.

i like the warmness of dominant industry base black, i always find warm blacks harder to find than cool ones

You guys should have included Carbon Black. But oh my, I really do love how dark Chou Kuro is. I’m just put off by the price.

I have Polar Black and it's not that black at all. Sometimes it looks dark gray, other times like a browish black. I hate Pilot Namiki (feathers like crazy on most of my papers) ink but it is a lot darker. I like Parker Quink black a lot better but it's an even lighter black, more like a very dark gray. I'm waiting to test Pelikan Fount India. It's supposed to be waterprof

What about Noodler’s Eel Black? I just bought some and it is VERY black, plus it’s 100% waterproof. I lerv it.

I like how Sailor Kiwaguro ink dries. It's dark, but has a graphite sheen. It isn't completely matte black. The only non fountain pen ink I've seen like it is the gel ink used in the Uni Ball Signo line.

The Chao Kuro is the one ink I would like to get but the price...

True. The price is what puts me off. I don’t mind that it needs distilled water for cleaning, but the price of the ink is really not that good. Especially if you have other options like Carbon Black.
