Can i use pedals with it?
@theblytonian39062 жыл бұрын
@@dariavoinea6343 Don't really need to. For the 20 & 40, buy yourself Blackstar's proprietary FS-11 smart footswitch and use it in conjunction which enables you to select voices, plus toggle their respective effects on and off. That said, with it in manual mode you can dial up the clean tone you want with no effects applied, place the traditional line input acceptable pedals through it, and it'll work as well as any other amp in its class. However the ID:Core series have no separate effects loop for effects pedals, nor a preamp bypass. They're built for a purpose and price point and blow the competition out of the water in that niche IMV.

To all practice amp manufacturers: -straightforward control panel with MIDS knob -one good clean channel, one good crunch, one good modern channel, and not 50 emulations of beehives -softwares that install on your laptop without having to read entire forums -direct recording at usable sound quality(what the hell Boss?) -not looking like a purse (what the hell Vox?) -actual online support that supports you as a buyer and user without being ignored after paying Optional for a higher price but very well worth it : -FX loop -looper effect -drop tuning effect if it doesn't suck -the most basic drum machine with tweakable BPM

Blackstar Silverline my man. It can do everything the core line can do and more, but while keeping the controls simple. On the amp itself its just a regular amp with 3 band EQ, gain, volume and master volume presence and resonance, with in addition having 2 knobs, one to emulate a certain type of tube and one to switch channels (between warm clean, bright clean, crunch, and 2 levels of OD). The software is really easy to use, recording quality from either the emulated out jack (into your own software) or USB port (through the blackstar software), and blackstar is good on support, every time i've emailed them I've had response within a few days.

I bought my original version Blackstar ID Core stereo 40 that has 2 6.5 in 4 Ohm speakers. I got it usd about the time that the V3 came out and although they all have the same basic features but added the Blu Tooth which I don't really need. I had bought it to amp my phone at work to hear my music over the machines at the commercial laundry where I worked at the time plus all the other Karaoke speaker amps that other employees used as well. zI bought mine at my local Music-Go-Round for under $100 and a yeaqr later I got my used Starcaster Strat for about the same price, that I got to rebuild and mod extremely. so for about $200 I have a rig that can be played in stealth mode with the guitar and headphones plugged in together and hear it myself without disturbing anybody else or aai can crank it up with the gain up and anoy all my nosy neighbors. lol .. If ZI want even louder and deeper tones I can go from the earphone out with an adaptor cable into the CD input of my surround sound system receiver and get all the surround speakers as well as the subwoofer cranked up for a full better that Marshall tone as loud as I want orat last until the receiver goes into protect mode and I have to re adjust the input levels to compensate. bear in mine that my Stellarcaster( that's what I renamed it.) sports 3 quad rail humbuckers wired like a %0's Les Paul with coil splits using all audio taper P/P 500k Ohm volume pots and audio taper 500K tone pots the bridge tone also a a 500K P/P to activate the bridge and neck P/U's together regardless of the 5-wat sw. position.. and no I never counted just how many tonal variations I can get with the 6 pots and coil splitting plus the controls and onboard effects in the amp. .. really too many to think about. Even though this is my very first guitar build/mod, I went all out adding and upgrading electronics and other parts and hardware.. replaced the cheap light pot metal trem block with a full size solid brass trem block and roller saddles on the bridge,. Roller string trees and locking tuners. the hand made custom hand made brushed stainless steel pick guard I made for it is loaded with 3 quad rail(and quad coils) Hunbuckers the 3 500K P/P vol. pots , 3 500K tone pots with .047 orange drop caps, a Fender 5-way blade switch and wired it all up like a 50's Les Paul with a third control pot pair added. thecoils off when split are toward the neck and active ones toward the bridge for brighter tone as well. The pick guard being steel is the main ground for the electronics so a little less wiring for grounds including the output jack also mounted in the lower end of the pick guard. wiring all the controls was quite an adventure and took a while to get right so it all works as designed l. it all works well and the number of tones available is staggering. All in the extended control cavity and the pick guard to hold it all. the Titanium nut gives it a brighter tone that compliments the 50's wiring to get the true Strat tones I want and it just needed a little sanding to accommodate the 9-46 string set I used and tuned it to E-Flat standard for the great tone from a killer Strat guitar. the name compliments the custom spray can and airbrushed details of the stars and planets space theme paint job I gave it with a semi gloss clear coat finish. most of the parts wee from Amazon and the tools I bought with the excuse to my wife that they were handy for home projects too were from Harbor Freight. Yup I'm frugal (cheap) I may even add the led's for coil in circuit indicators wired on the opposite unused sides of the P/P switch sections and adding a 9V battry in the control cavity with added switch for them too.. wiring those will take a little figuring for proper voltage with the right resistors. I researched it and know what it needs to work properly.. drill a few holes in the pick guard where i want the lights and there we are blue sparkly lights mimicing stars that tell you what coils are in circuit at any time... lol ... what fun.

It was seriuosly frustrating, combined with not enough support from Blackstar!! Still love Blackstar though and v2 is my go to. Is that a mini-USB port? I haven't seen one of those in years.

A lot of these modeling amps use them, my Marshall code 50 has one but I’ve never felt the need to connect it to a pc though

Yeah, Guitar Geek reviewed this same model and thought it was frankly ridiculous to put a mini USB port in a product in 2021. Needs to be USB C, or maybe USB A.

Vox VTX line uses that as well. I was quite shocked when it arrived...

Isnt it a micro port, the mini is the current flat one if Im not mistaken

@@maxmustardman298 micro USB is the one that most android phones have used up to now. Mini USB is this one, and I've seen it more on digital cameras and mp3 players.

How so? I'm torn between these, the Spark or the THR10ii
