It don't matter if you're rich or poor someone breaking into and robbing your home is wrong. I'm sure Paris and the other celebrities were insured up to the hill but some stuff is not easily replaced as Paris said her grandmothers jewellery that was sentimental. My friend was burgled and they didn't just steal they trashed her house. Luckily she was insured but the burglars went through everything they tipped her underwear draw out on her bed and had clearly rifled through them. My friend said she felt so violated and humiliated especially as when she got home she called the police and was told not to touch anything so they saw it all she said she threw all her underwear out and bought new ones. She has never really got over that she can never understand why they did that to her underwear draw.

@@xoxolovechristielynn We may not know Paris Hilton's core beliefs, but it's still rather ironic to hear her complain about how celebrity-obsessed our culture is. Much of her fame and success depend on the celebrity obsession of our society. She knows that and she uses it to her advantage. I still believe in healthy boundaries of course - please don't misunderstand me. But it annoys me that nobody in the entertainment industry is asked to reflect on whether they've contributed to the culture that motivated these teenagers to do what they did.

grow up and stop telling other people how to live their lives or how they are supposed to feel. she has all the right to feel violated. it is irrelevant how much money she has, no one has the right to enter someone else's house. if this happened nowadays and in another house (and the police didn't act like fools again), they'd be screwed or shot.
@rubytuesday85722 жыл бұрын
The only thing that's disgusting is how hateful you're being. Paris is not responsible for your situation, nor does she owe you anything. Some materialistic things also hold emotional value, as she mentioned about her inherited jewelry. You think it's morally wrong to break into her house and steal her stuff, but also judge it as morally wrong for feeling bad about it, because she lives in abundance. Your opinion is basically: If I don't have it, you shouldn't have it either - therefore I don't feel sorry for you. You basically feel entitled to decide who deserves what, which is very narcissistic too actually. If you struggle with even buying food, maybe you should reflect on your life, what you could change in order to live a more fulfilling life. Bless you and hopefully you will live a great life one day, and then can help other struggling people, because you think that's what people, who live a good life, should be doing.
@sirbuffalo2 жыл бұрын
@@rubytuesday8572 I think it's even more revealing that you are defending a celebrity who doesn't give a damn about you or knows who you are, yet you get so passionate about the subject. Have you ever been to third world countries? Are you from the US? Or any Western country? Do you know the parasitic exploitation your own country is responsible for? Of course you don't and you don't care. Do you believe that you're actually a good person? If Paris is entitled to live her life in the most superficial and shallow way imaginable, he's just as entitled to judge her. "There's enough in the world for everyone's needs, but not everyone's greed". People like Paris represent that greed and you not being able to understand why someone would have a problem with it says volumes about you too.
@JustinLHopkins2 жыл бұрын
@@rubytuesday8572 They said they live in Eastern Europe which is still very poor compared to the rest of Europe and the governments are corrupt. Jobs are not easy to come by either and they don’t pay well. I agree with most of what you said but you don’t need to be telling someone in Eastern Europe to do something to improve their life, especially if you live in a wealthy western nation because life is very hard in those countries and very little opportunity exists. Privileged Americans really have no business lecturing people from disadvantaged countries. This person has likely grown up around abject poverty and hunger and seeing Paris and her excessive lifestyle is understandably offensive. Complaining about being robbed when you’re worth hundreds of millions and can easily replace what’s been lost would upset me too if I lived in a country with homeless starving children. Robbery is wrong but let’s not for one minute act like what Paris went through even comes close to the hardships faced by billions of people around the world.
