It's crazy how both the Blizzard of '78 and the Blizzard of 2022 look the same.

I grew up in Monfort Heights, western suburb of Cincinnati. We still had piles of snow in the shade on Memorial Day weekend and it was 80*.

In Columbus Ohio my Dad was at a bar near 5th & High. His car was plowed in snow completely surrounded the car for a couple of weeks. He crawled most of the way home about two blocks. As kids we were out at the stop signs and pushed cars out as they got stuck. We also hung on and went for rides. I don't remember anything like today and the blizzard of 78 being the same.

This Ohio 78 Blizzard Video shows a lot less snow than what we had in Indiana. I remember we had a full yard stick of snow and 6ft drifts. No one not even the county INDOT was moving. I had a 1975 Chevy Blazer 4x4 with 44” GroundHog tires & a 10” Lift Kit, & it was a rough time in the snow, pulling cars out of ditches & snow drifts.

I was 17 and me and a friend went out and made a fortune shoveling people's walks and driveways --with shovels, not plows

Wow, you could record people back then without them all mad and up in your business and calling police! What a deal, goid ol days
