After my jazz band broke up I went from playing drums in a jazz band to playing bass in a punk band called Mandatory Abortions. I was the only masc passing one so I would perform in the same floral dress and combat boots Kurt wore on SNL. I had so much fun. I really love punk and am always glad to see more of it especially Riot Gurl punk. You remind me of seeing Kathleen for the first time in 98.

The RGV stands for Rio Grande Valley, located in southernmost tip of Texas bordering with Mexico. More specifically McAllen, Texas where Breaker Breaker operates and where The Blowup Dollz play often.

@@breakerbreakertv That's what I thought, being a Texan (Grapevine), but then I thought "is there a scene down there?!" Well that shows my ignorance, of course there is, it just means y'all don't get as many touring bands (like DRI that's blowing through TX now & who I'll see in Houston tomorrow night). It probably means you have an great local scene with incredible bands like Blow Up Dolls. I know I'm repeating myself, but I'm _seriously_ impressed with them. They should consider trying to hook up with some touring bands & play SA, Ausin, Houston, DFW, getting some exposure. I'll be watching out for their live performances, personally. Wow they're good!
