The Sylvari's humanoid appearance is a Mordremoth's design and there were supposed to be several seeds like Pale Tree as a part of his infiltration tactic. Malyck, the Sylvari not born from the Pale Tree from Personal Storyline was a concept that - unfortunately got scrapped. He was supposed to be a part of Heart of Thorns campaign but they ultimately decided not to do these alternate Sylvari Trees at all.

Many people are still waiting for news on Malyck. Maybe when the Pale Tree finally recovers, she'd tell us something. She can't avoid us forever. IMO :)
