So after ruining several players already by trying to force them to be "Versatile" when they are not, they are going to try it again. Horwitz is a bat first first base man with below average defense. So the plan is to get him to learn 2nd base on the fly will adjusting to MLB pitching. Before a month ago he never played 2nd. Completely unfair position to put Spencer in.

I don't really expect Orelvis particularly soon. Striking out 1/3 the time against righties with a .209 average. His defence is not where he hangs his hat either. He could get some run if Vladdy or Turner missed time though and you needed someone to deal with lefties

What makes you think Horwitz can't play defense? I do like Barger at third, but Martiinez can play the corner outfield. He will probably end up out there.
