Hunter x Hunter manga is literally unreadable but the anime was made 13 years ago by Madhouse and is still better than 90% of anime today. Medabots and Beyblade were made in 2001 and 2000 respectively and have better animation and more character than most anime today.

This is just a theory so pls don’t take this out of context: I’m pretty sure they fr just focused more on the u20 match then the 3rd selection tbh, there was this one interview and I don’t remember who it was but it was either one of the directors for blue lock or isagis sub VA and they said they mostly put there all into the u20 arc, they didn’t say nothing about the 3rd selection, so maybe the trailer in general was bad at Literally hyping the community back but at the same time there wasn’t any new footage at all for u20 so maybe we have hope. (Sorry for it being so long🙏)

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves here. We've seen like, 1 or 2 episodes and it's just small clips, and the only part that deserved more of the budget in this trailer would be Shidou's goal. Otherwise, it looks better than season 1 blue lock. Let's also not forget that the one thing that makes anime blue lock superior to manga blue lock is the background. That's my only critique of manga blue lock, it uses white backgrounds so frequently it can be annoying, but the anime needs to make that background from scratch, atleast give them props for that. Besides, yall really crying for third selection first 2 episodes and a few clips of not that important gameplay (again, Shidou's goal could have deserved more, not gonna disagree there), but the u20 is what we all really care for here, and we litterally saw not even a frame of that
