Thank you Aude for another great hour. I am currently knitting the Sweet Shop Blanket with the Zakami organic Merino advent. For the sewn bind off with unspun yarn, you can rub the yarn tail first to make it more sturdy and then start sewing. You can also use this method before casting on stitches. Have a great holiday once it's there. It is important to recover from all that work.❤

🔎 Such a cozy episode. I'm home for a sick leave due to heavy migraine and I'm so glad that I at least for some days I can sit up and knit. Love the colourful socks, the pink and orange is a great combo. I don't suit bright colours but with the socks I can go crazy with all the colours, like Stephen West style. I'd love to try some unspun yarn soon especially Nutiden, but it's kind of hard to get your hand on.Looking forward to see that cardigan ready. Currently on my needles is a test knit for a Swedish local for me designer (Annas Artificia on ravelry) and it is a neck/dickie for children 2-6 years called Gråvacka. I also have a long term Jacket in houndstooth pattern slowly knitting on that. Always a pair of socks this time with some moose motif for a friend who hunts. The THEA top but I'm going to frog that and a ribbed top in merino. Happy Holidays I hope that you do some really nice things to charge up. 🧶🤎

I'm so sorry to hear you have a migraine! I get them sometimes too and they're the worst. It does sound like you've got many wonderful projects to work on while you recover though! ❤️ Happy knitting and happy holidays! I hope you feel better soon. ❤️

Wonderful episode! I too switched to DPN’s for the heel flap and turn as the Crazy Sock Lady showed in her video and it worked for me. I’ve also used a small crochet hook to pick up stitches for the gusset and it makes for a neat pick up. Happy relaxing holidays 🎄❤

For your "Midland Neck" you could maybe crochet a little chain over the ribbing where it meets the garter stitches, in the front and back.🔍 🎬 📖
@bobblesandberries19 күн бұрын
I did think about that and then got worried that I wouldn’t be able to get it over my head. But it would be much nicer and neater than a bit of elastic… I might still try it. It’s easy and quick to rip back if it doesn’t work. Thanks! ❤️

▶📚❓🔬⚰I listen to audiobooks daily and I use the libby app. It's wonderful. Some recent reads I've enjoyed: My Life on the Road by Gloria Steinem, Historical fiction: The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel, Murder mystery series by Harlan Coben, first book is Deal Breaker. Two very entertaining and well written books: A Lady's Guide to Marvels and Misadventure by Angela Bell and Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. Love your Stick Season sweater. I'm putting it in my queue.

I've turne to the radio, mostly Radio 4 extra to accompany my knitting. I enjoy knitting podcasts but increasingly have found that tryinng to count stitches for a cast on is impossible while someone is talking knitting. At times I have found myself doing the wrong stitch e.g. a purl 2 whien I should be doing a knit stitch 🙂
@bobblesandberries19 күн бұрын
😄😄 Yes! I can understand that. I don’t often listen to the radio. Maybe that’s my sign to do it more. ❤️

Maybe making your own Advent? Kate of Hawthorn Cottage Craft does this. Pulls scraps and minis from her stash and has someone else wrap them so it’s still a surprise every day. 😊❤️

@@bobblesandberries that is such a nice idea :) But I have a lot of scrappy projects so most of my scraps are being used or planned to be used already and I know exactly what I have. but it is a great idea!

20 grams should be plenty for baby socks. They’re feet are tiny! 🤏 Another thought about the neck/dicky thing for a new mom: great gift! But don’t use mohair. The long fibers stick to tiny baby hands and they get it in their mouth and eyes. And, if your friend is planning to nurse her baby, maybe try to make it long enough to cover the boobs? It is very important to keep them warm to avoid mastitis❤
@bobblesandberries17 күн бұрын
Hi Astrid! Thank you for all the advice. I will keep it in mind. 😊 Mohair is definitely out of the question, for sure. ❤️
