Mid 90s I competed at Murray Bergtram HS in NY all natural. Won my class and overall. I was feeling great. Then after the show I was out in the audience and Kai rolls in and everybody was big upping him. I was about 5-10 feet from him and pretty much knew right there that my career as a bodybuilder was over. Dude was huge and thick and his legs stole my soul. Greatest and worst day of my life.....

I trained my ass off for many years up until I was 34 ( I am 44 now). I weighed 160 pnds but was repping with 330 pounds, not maxing repping. I was addicted to the gym and though I am 6'1 as shredded as i was ppl were shocked I was only 160. My waist was 29 inches and my biceps were 18+ cold. I prided myself for my strength and shape and loveddd it when people said I used steroids. However I did not used steroids and at the time it was a compliment. Then one day it hit me. All the hellish pain and nightmare and sacrifice I put myself through, ppl contribute it to steroids......The more I thought on it the more pissed I got. So when someone said that or even hinted I corrected them. Take a wild guess what happened. Yup no one believes you. It just takes something away from you that you can never really get back. Here I was so proud of all the years of hardwork, only to be subjugated to a bottle. I didnt do it for girls, competition, or to show off. it was just self accomplishment. I wont lie though, once it became obvious thats all people saw of me. I really never got back the motivation I once had. I wish steroids never existed so we could see the true real potential of people. Oh well that was years ago. So I started training a year ago and now I am up to 260 reps for bench pressing. Noway near what I was and I am 185 now. However I am not trying to go in and kill myself and pretty happy with my 17s now. I am not nearly as strong or as extreme looking. I have no idea how i did all the things I did back then. Strange how time changes things. Almost like that was a different person... lol where am I going with all this. Anyways goodluck to you nattys and non nattys keep going strong!!

But the truth is I looked so much heavier than I actually was. I had a 29 inch waist. I'm 190 now 33 inch waist ... Getting older sucks. But im trying for the 330 reps again I cant budge past 310

Mary Hendron most definitely, it came around in the mid 90s under the actual name synthol, and site enhancement oils have been around since the 1890s. That's not a typo, the 1890s. Not that they were used for bodybuilding purposes back then, but they have been around for a very long time. Bodybuilders like Dorian Yates and Flex Wheeler were using synthol by their own admission in the 1990s.

The most easy way to spot a steroid user is the roundness of the shoulders. It never lies. And second rule is: The muscle fullness. 3d rule: The overall muscle mass. Greg had it all and that even ripped to shreds comepetition shape 5-6% bodyfat. On some test, oxy, mast, primo, winstrol and maybe also tren. That is how they do even today to look like that. And how Arnold did and all the others. The look is copy righted by steroids.
