Can’t help but break down in tears throughout this entire movie. It’s painful to see Spirit and Little Creek getting mistreated by the white settlers. The bond between Spirit, Rain, and Little Creek is so bittersweet especially in the end when Spirit and Rain had to part ways with Little Creek. Damn, how I really wanted the horses to stay with him but Spirit was extremely homesick so he had no choice but to leave his friend and his girlfriend had to leave her owner to run away with her stallion. 😭💔The film way too hard to watch that I have a love/hate thing for it.

Spirit Sr and Little Creek had the best balanced relationship in order to keep faithful to the theme of the movie. …Meanwhile Spirit Jr and a girl named Lucky do have a ok relationship at the start but as the show dragged on (spirit riding free) he became seemingly a lot more dependent on her and less loyal to the idea of maintaining freedom. He almost becomes like a true pet to her especially in the later seasons of the show. I’m not blaming Spirit Jr for the material the writers have given for him to work with. But man they seem really determined to undermine the legacy his dad left behind. I really hope the writers finally come to their senses and turn this around. Feb 23 2023

@@Babygirl-on5zn well he isn’t the original spirit. Dreamworks even said as much. The new spirit is the son of the original spirit. But yeah the expansion involving his son is really lackluster right now. But I did see Puss in boots the last wish. so I know DreamWorks still has it in them to make worthy stories for their older franchises. I really hope they apply those skills to the spirit franchise.

And, like "The Prince of Egypt", it used a combination of traditional hand-drawn animation mixed in with computer animation. Since 1938, its look and feel ran with the classics to modern-day animated movies. It's an unbelievable shame that this true treasure is a dying art for feature animation. Say.
