The narration is quite good, but be aware that the target audience is clearly juvenile. That's not a bad thing, if you're expecting it. Good juvenile/YA literature - say, His Dark Materials - can be *quite* good. And it's a short story (or novelette), so there's no time for a character arc, or unique characters. But it passes the time. The bad part is that the author - probably human - seems to be lazy, as shown in the warehouse scene. Or maybe they were aiming for slapstick humor??
