The grass is always greener,over the septic tank! I've been a bonzo fan since the fall of 73. Great to see their antics "live"

Love that they keep bringing up that line from Zappa’s “Dog Breath” throughout the show

re Big Shot : He said, "You got a light, mac?" I said, "No, but I've got a dark brown overcoat." Deffo one of the greatest lyrics ever.

I had a friend who insisted on being called mac. He succumbed eventually, I was too annoying and we both smoked.

Probably one of the best live recordings of the Bonzos out there. Contrary to what Neil said during the interview, they can all actually play but are in fact pissing about somewhat. Anarchic brilliance and I wished I could have been there but I was only nine when this was recorded !

An old girlfriend turned me on to the Bonzos in the late 70s. Had never heard of them before that. Great musical parody. This happened one week after Woodstock. How would the boys have done at that venue? Along with Eric Idle Neil Innes was the musical genius behind the Rutles. Great B&W quality; recorded 55 years ago and it looks like it just happened.

Yes, the classic line-up, doing what they did so well. In fact, this was slightly less polished than a full-on UK gig. Top marks to Neil in the interview for saying that people don't go to gigs for a quality music experience', they come for the atmos, the connection.

14:13 what instrument is Vivian Stanshall playing
@childrenofminervaofficial431626 күн бұрын
It is a cornet mouthpiece inserted into a garden hose. That same garden hose doubled as a siphon for his fish and amphibian tanks at home.

Not uploader's fault, but cameraman's. Not enough focus on NEIL when it's HIS TURN! I can't stand shite camera work. Learn how to spot who's singing, playing! They Do have more than one cam here. Doesn't seem like Neil would want none of the attention. Waah! Great to listen to though, thanks, unless ofc You were the cameraman.
