@Hallow1 if you mean doom 1, then that bass will actually be whatever your computer has access to midi wise. For example, it could be the built in sound chip of an old ass computer running DOS or the pre-installed default windows soundfont or even an external MIDI instrument like a Roland SC-55. You probably are thinking of the standard windows soundfont if you’ve seen any doom gameplay from the modern day, or played doom yourself on your computer, but that soundfont didn’t exist in 1993. It’s actually based on the sounds of the Roland SC-55 (though not identical) which actually is what was used to arrange dooms soundtrack. That would be your best bet for getting the original doom sound. So, I guess if you wanted the most authentic doom experience, you could plug an SC-55 into your Commodore from the early 90s and install doom off a floppy disk.

Boobass is honestly a really good bass plugin. I never could afford those big bass sample libraries/plugins etc., and those same libraries eat up like 90% of your RAM on a lower end pc, and boobass just WORKS if you know what youre doing
