I watched Boogie for over 15 years. I felt sorry for him and thought he turned his life around two years ago when he posted a video about losing weight, going to therapy and investing money smartly. I was rooting for him because I came from an abusive broken home as he did. But now I give up. I saw his misogynistic hateful side and how he manipulates everyone. There is no way to help him. He is a lost case. I am sorry for Desiree his 20-year-old girlfriend who is being dragged down by a narcissist. Btw his ex wife is also called Desiree. It's pretty fucked up.

People might not want to hear this, but everytime a fat/ugly person starts getting fame, there's always a giant pity party for them. You know, comments like "what a gentle giant" or even "nicest guy in gaming." Boogie definitely got this treatment and I think the fake pity praises got to his head and inflated his ego. Let this be a cautionary tale about pity parties and wanking the underdog. Ofc, everything is still Boogie's fault, but I am so tired of internet pity parties. Anyone above double digit IQ knows it's fake AF and cringe.

@@emiami458nah it’s not a myth, it’s a common law doctrine called the doctrine of necessaries. Under it, someone could be legally liable for their spouse’s medical debts. Working in collections, I once saw a woman on the hook for $10k of her husband’s medical debts that he couldn’t pay because he was in prison for CP possession. US law is ghoulish. But, thankfully, last time I checked, Arkansas is one of the few states that doesn’t have it - they outright abolished it in 2020.

He became every obnoxious wannabe druggie kid you met in college in the span of 12 hours and it was the funniest part of the whole thing for me to watch. It's crazy how people this far gone in shitty life choices will try literally anything except the bare minimum to actually improve their life.

I've done shrooms a few times, my first dose looks to be about the same as boogie took, can't say for sure, but that was pretty much a strong weed high. I only really got giggly like that the first time I did a 5 gram trip and that was when I was peaking like 2-3 hours in, not 20 minutes lmfao. also the only thing shrooms got me closer to was my enjoyment of midwest emo music, which is its own brand of insufferable i guess lmfao

shrooms usually make you philosophical (tbh i always end up drawing and watching animal vids) but they also open your mind to positive and helpful thoughts, why many people quit addictions after eating shrooms, on my trips i get thoughts like “you really don’t need that much food. i need to be healthier and achieve something.” etc so im really baffled that boogie got worse as a person like his soul must be truly rotten.

It's interesting to note that he's drinking soda in pretty much every shot of this documentary, including immediately upon waking up. The guy isn't even trying to lose weight or get better. He's also a selfish bastard for dragging that young girl into his life of problems. He knows it's going to end in heartbreak for her but he's totally selfish and just wants the short-term pleasure for himself. Like him saying he needs to buy Final Fantasy 16 or Diablo 4 as "essentials" I get when you are a gamer you want new games to play especially if you are a content creator where you need to entertain your audience. But if you are going to be dropping a pretty penny for them since games nowadays are $70 how about you think am I actually going to beat the main content or put 20 hours into this game at least?.

The girlfriend stuff is so sick as well, because Boogie is consciously and willingly using her biggest fear and insecurity, losing an emotional crutch in her life in the form if a man, and holding it over her head as a thing she constantly has to stress and angst about to prevent her from leaving him. It's no different than when a man constantly threatens his girlfriend to breaking up with her and leaving her on the street with no home and no money as a way to turn her fears into a power play. By constantly reminding this girl of her biggest fear, he makes her constantly think about it and skyrocket her anxieties about it probably to the point where she can never truly just relax, because keeping her in that high anxiety state keeps her in a place of desperation, where she constantly has to be grateful for "the time she has with him". He's emotionally abusing her by indirectly threatening her (but it's not him it's his HEALTH. So it's out of his control and not really his own fault. He does this with everything else that's not his fault directly but is totally his fault in the long run) so she will never EVER think of leaving him or look for a better more emotionally stable situation for herself. It's so fucking gross. This is literal video footage of a man emotionally abusing a vulnerable woman. And I'm glad to see all the people discussing this documentary is seeing through Boogie's bullshit here. He's a disgusting person on a moral level, regardless of what his body looks like.

I think my favorite part of these types of comments is the reality around them being concern hyper focus on the entertainer. She likely was in a bad spot. She was likely ignored. Often woman like this also have a ton of medical debt. Especially as Americans we walk past people homeless on the street without blinking an eye. It is when they are in a situation like being the girlfriend of X the all the concern comes poring out. If she left Boogie she would likely go back to whatever her normal situation is minus all the "concern." Aside from maybe picking up a couple stalkers who were "meant to save her." I get it though "helping" someone like this just takes banding together on social media where as helping a lot of others takes years of commitment. Thank god entertainers exist for people to get their "I am doing good" quotas meet.

The reason boogie was upset at 200$ for the city of traitors card is because its "reserve list" meaning that WotC has an internal contract saying they will never print those cards again, so as long as theres demand the price should only go up. The problem is that for magic30 WotC came as close as possible to reprinting reserve list cards as they could within the bounds of the rules they set (silver border not play legal copies) and as a result theyve all tanked to a fraction of their value. City of traitors may have been up to 1200$ or so before M30 and now its 300 tops

So here's a breakdown of the medical stuff: Sleep apnoea, lymphoedema, diabetes (and resulting kidney damage), high blood pressure, varicose veins, intervertebral disc degeneration (& back pain) are ALL caused predominantly by obesity and poor diet. They are all preventable, and manageable or even partially reversible with lifestyle changes - i.e. weight loss and healthy diet. Intestinal malabsorption is due to the gastric bypass. Basal cell carcinoma is skin cancer. Eczema, asthma and allergies are all related and genetic. Testicular hypogonadism = low testosterone, it's very clear he elongated this list by putting different names for the same condition twice, and listing things like vitamin D deficiency, which over half the population has.

I love how Charles is basically the KZbin historian at this point, which is nice to see since he's been around/is a fan of most of the old time KZbinrs back then as well. Since he used to be a fan of boogie, it must've been heart wrenching seeing a man fall this hard out of grace just because he's such a lazy idiot that relies on victimizing himself to stay alive all due to him refusing to change himself for the better. The penguinz0 channel content evolution over the years is a really amazing sight to see, and its really cool seeing Charlie try out different things not only for his own channel, but because he likes doing it. Boogie on the other hand refuses to change because he thinks everything is gonna be given to him. Boogie should just quit KZbin at this point and find a better job than content creation.

With the gastric bypass question, you can stretch your stomach by drinking more liquids or just slowly overeating. That's why they suggest keeping a therapist before, during and after weight loss surgery. With the gift cards, my thought is that it's less risky? I mean, if a cop stops a person and searches them and just sees gift cards vs a person with a ton of money, they're more likely to question the person who has a ton of money on them.
