When this text is compared to other scripture including the book if Enoch you can truly see how long suffering the Lord has been. His grace is truly sufficient and his mercies meet us in our undeserving state, yet he still loves us and has made a way if escape. That us his son Jesus Christ. As with 1 Enoch, we are truly given missing pieces of God's greater plan that, for centuries, were hidden from the eyes, ears and hearts of the faithful in Christ. My heart rejoices, because, as you, i am only now learning the beautiful connection through legacy, that Noah passed directly to Abram (later our great, earthly Patriarch in God, Abraham). We also finally hear the entire story of Babel, Nimrod, and his open rebellion to the one true, Lord God Almighty. To shed light, as IS God's will, in the areas of darkness in the minds of His faithful, so that we begin to see the entirety of God's plan, is as incredible as it is powerful. More significantly, the full truth of the plans the Enemy had enacted from The Garden of Eden, through to The Fall, and NImrod's reign of tyranny on all the earth, as the ultimate tool of Satan, and ultimately brought to nothing before El Shaddai is awe inspiring. I enjoyed this version of the genesis story because of the details that are not in the bible version of Genesis, ie., the murder of Cain and Abel goes into greater detail. Did Cain marry his sister? Eve two had daughters. The story of Cainnen is interesting, not in the bible. I recommend Jasher for everyone to read. And I do not understand why this book was excluded from the bible.

This is an interesting book, but don’t be confused into thinking it is the Book of Jasher mentioned in Joshua and 2nd Samuel. That has long been lost and we have none of its text. This book is a medieval Hebrew midrash. The Hebrew title "Sefer haYashar" might be translated as the "Book of the Correct Record" - but it is known in English translation mostly as The Book of Jasher. Its author is unknown. The oldest copy still extant dates back to 1625.

Book of Jasher is mentioned in the Old Testament. Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18 - 27. I love the narration so calming.
