@@Corinna_Schuett_GER You know that believers have been saying "The end is near." since Jesus was two days ascended. You're tempting God when you assume this. Focus on witness, and forget about the Rapture. When it comes, it comes. Life has always been hard, in fact it's easier NOW than it ever has been. So, focus on witness and forget about your Tribulation. Do not hasten the Will of God. Hasten your witness. God bless you, and keep you.

@br.m
@br.m Жыл бұрын
@@HJKelley47 Interesting. Jesus is the meat. There must be some bad churches out there. I went to church and learned all about Jesus and the Old Testament. When you are looking in to Enoch and other things, the fault is your own, not a church. Had you listened to Jesus you would not hunger or thirst anymore. Not for Enoch, not for depth, not for anything. You would be filled. If your churches are not teaching bout Jesus then it is not even a church. If you hunger and thirst, you have rejected Jesus and are here looking for junk food from Enoch in the rubbish heap.

@@br.m No, Kelley has not rejected Jesus. You do realize that if Jude, Jesus' half-brother, quotes Enoch, then that book was in Jesus' household growing up. Also, Peter quoted from it. It helps show what the believers in the 1st Century knew that we don't. And Paul wrote to some believers that they were stuck always drinking "milk" when they should have moved on to eating "meat." The "meat" is what Dr. Heiser opened our eyes to!

Michael Heiser is so so right about people in the church having more hunger. Wanting to dig deeper. This is my experience. I grew up in the church, got saved at 16 and I always knew there is more. God has been so gracious and has been revealing to me during my daily encounters with Him, but I had such a hard time finding resources to help me understand certain topics. To help me answer certain questions. I love God’s wisdom and knowledge, and it got to the point that I could not find a church where I was being fed at all. Not to sound arrogant but the sermons would put me to sleep so I would just do my own reading and study during sermons. God has been revealing people and books and videos to me that answer my questions but it is a sad state that we have very few people working in this area. It’s even more sad that there are Christian’s who have become so lukewarm that they have lost their zeal to attain more knowledge about their Bibles and as a result, young people are more drawn towards occult/new age type spirituality. But then there are also people like me and some of my friends who want to be challenged, who want to go deeper into Gods word. I believe that God has put this hunger within us for a reason. I have always noticed that when im persistently seeking for answers, God ALWAYS come through. Whether through more seasoned and knowledgeable believers, books, videos and even revelation of His knowledge in worship and prayer. All of a sudden the thing that didn’t make sense to me for years, makes perfect sense. I urge fellow believers to dig deeper and not be afraid. I get called crazy all the time lol, but it is amazing and freeing to come out of mediocrity and let the Holy Spirit teach us. You will surprised at the pace of your sanctification too. It’s all the works of the Holy Spirit.

I d recommend Bob thieme Houston tx. Free booklets get first 5. I donate. It gets as deep as anywhere. The issue in the cosmos is if you Don t know algebra they ll throw calculus at you. You need to be careful and go w a doctrinal scholar. Rev Gene kim san Jose ca is good. The search on your own is very tenuous. A strong pastor teacher, avoid the new trends: emergent; sensitive seeking, mega churches, hebrew roots movenebt: apocryphal books have been vetted by scholars surpassing you, which is why they weren t added to the Bible. 40 years and over 200 I believe studied and completed an excellent kjv. So, relax; the Bible was by HS via apostles and very near to 57 AD so recent texts.

From when I was 19 years old in 1973 till April of 1978, I had spent those years studying 'metaphysics' and practicing some parts of it, and was considered the best card-reader in Las Vegas, then I was saved. Shortly after getting saved, with my background in the occult,, I moved home to Pa. and read the New Testament in 3 weeks. Jesus and His apostles spoke about the supernatural nature of God's kingdom as well as the 'fallen' world. The Christian world can't be wholly effective without the supernatural aspect.

One commenter in such a video seems to think we become righteous by our merits which contradicts why we need salvation through Christ . He than is into a falsr or twisted notion against clear scripture . This made me think a second it's Mormon doctrine thus us a cult thing unbiblical . If you don't believe Christ Himself alone saves us by faith please reveal this so people can down vote the videos as I intend if so. If you're truly Christian you need to stress this in truth openess .

Yes, you are saved by the grace of Christ. But remember the rest of His teachings which happen to focus on Living which means doing the things he taught. He has the choice whether or not he accepts what you are in your heart. If you change not from your fallen state that’s false belief in Him. It’s new age fake Christians selling the grace only saves and continue living like the world. Find out what having true faith entails. Faith without works is dead. Being saved means you are saved from eternal death and control of Satan. Where you go in heaven depends on what you really are which Christ will be the judge of.

@@joemeyers4131 I always wonder this when I read comments such as yours.... I think we ALL understand that we're saved by Grace, that's a no brainer. But does THAT mean we're free to commit sin as much as we want BECAUSE we're saved by Grace? Doesn't the "works" so to speak part of it come in simply by understanding that Jesus died in order to save us, BUT, we also have to hold up our end of the bargain? WHY does one side always condemn the other side to fire pit?????

I absolutely love what Dr. Heiser said-that he wanted Christians "to read Scripture in its own original context...not in a modern context or a denominational context..." That is one of the main reasons why I have studied the Bible so much all these years! And that is also one of the reasons why the Lord had me go for my Bachelor's (Latin and Romance Language Major) and Masters these past five years, and am now continuing on with my PhD at Liberty in Bible Exposition in the fall. Mike was so spot on; as I went through my Master's classes at Liberty this past year and a half, that is exactly how we were to think as we were reading the Bible. I took the Biblical Languages with Exegesis Cognate so I could learn the ancient languages, and read the Bible the way it was meant to be read. We actually touched on Deut. 32:8 and Psalm 82 at one point or another, and I was amazed at what I was reading! I couldn't get enough of it-I wanted to learn more about what really went on in that divine council. I am now teaching myself Aramaic (I'm a lover of languages!) before my Phd classes begin. Enoch was fascinating to read, and I know it was the Lord's timing a little over a year ago, when He led me to want to learn more about Genesis 6, the Watchers, and all that entailed. Also, the Mythology class I took a couple of years ago was to bring me to another realization that not all of it was "myth"; there was a lot of truth behind those stories. Finding out about Dr. Heiser on one or two of Trey Smith's videos assured me I was not nuts--God was pointing me in a certain direction to go. Derek Gilbert's books, and most recently, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn's book, "Return of the Gods", has given me more proof that the Lord was leading me to discover more truths than ever before about Enoch, and has made me appreciate the whole of Scripture even more, and all the history in it as well.

A first for me to see Dr. Heiser's interview. I find his perspective somewhat encompassing the macro & micro view which is an inclusive view. It is somewhat inviting to an audience it engages the rational part of us whether we see life from a subjective view or more of an objective view. Sometimes we see bits and pieces of what makes sense and don't really bother to tie ideas together. I had a somewhat negative view of the doctor before I heard the interview. In fact I was tempted not to watch it. But because I enjoyed Enoch so much I just had to hear what the Dr. had to say. Thanks for posting the interview. Dr. Heisner comes across in a positive down to earth person. I was glad I listened. Thank you for the closed captions because I cannot hear. :)

Wow. A DRMSH interview that goes right into the subject matter. Most channels ask him to tell his entire background and calling story which Mike had down to a science because he has to do it for literally every conversation online and eats up the majority of the runtime. Great work on this interview btw. I wish he could stick around here on Earth for a bit longer but his mission to give us laymen his critical insights is an astounding success thanks to his diligent work. The Awakening School is the most important contribution to the believing population in decades and im ever grateful.

I am not sure how I cam across Mike Heiser this morning, it caused me to search him out here on YT and this is what popped up! I am very thankful for this. I no longer call myself a Christian, I stopped that many years ago. I do believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I dont believe the teachings given today on who they are or the "interpretation" of scripture.m I recently heard this joke that is fitting, along my beliefs. Here is the joke. A monk was assigned the task to transcribe ancient scripture. He flipped out, many other monks saw him and called for the head monk. The head monk asked him what the problem was. He said, They forgot the R, it is CELEBRATE, Not CELEBATE. Gave me a good chuckle

I got saved 33 years ago. I’ve tried to allow God to lead my life through the Holy Spirt . I am uneducated my life prior to be saved at 33 . The thing that have happened in my life has given me the Faith that every word is truth. The Old Testament is where I gain all my knowledge an wisdom that The Holy Spirt reveals to me. I also believe that the The Book of Enoch is also the inspired word of God. Like you said you need put your self in there world in order to understand. There is so much we don’t understand as humans in the 21st centuries.I Believe that In the times of the Bible that the human mind connected to the spiritual side of life an God in all forms due to lack of distraction starting from the time of Adam an Eve. Your people in my world think I’m out there. Lol . I know God doesn’t because the things he’s done in my life could have only been done by God. There’s people that can testify to that.

Dr. Heiden, you are an awesome HELP to understanding Christianity! Thank you! I have a question for you. I have several friends who have changed from Dispensational to Covenant Theology. I have tried to explain to them the error in their understanding but to no avail. Is it important that they understand Dispensational & know it is correct OR do I just let it go? I thought since the understanding of the BIBLE is Spirit-led so we would come to the same understanding!?! Help! BLESS YOU BROTHER!

Dr Heiser answers a very similar question in his most recent Q&A podcast. I think it was orthodox vs reformed. Bottom line is : do not affix yourself to a denominational position or a particular teaching but strive to be textual always. If you listen to Dr Heiser often enough you will find there's always something you believe that he challenges that might offend. But allow yourself to be challenged and you will grow.

@@shinryuken5423 question for you... if the Restrainer is removed from the earth, what happens to the Spirit filled believer? Blessings!
@shinryuken5423
@shinryuken5423 Жыл бұрын
@savedbygrace6853 The first thing to understand is that in 2 Thessalonians 2, the chapter is about our reunion with Jesus at his return. Paul says that before Jesus returns, the man of iniquity (antichrist)must come first and also that there will be a falling away, apostasy. Paul then states that the man of iniquity has not manifested yet because it is necessary for the restrainer to be removed first. But he doesn't say removed from the earth. This is from the English Standard version: 7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. 7b states that the one who now restraines "it". The "it" is the mystery of lawlessness, which is already at work but has not reached its full potential, and the "he" is God. God is restrainer the mystery of lawlessness from reaching its climax. Once God stops restraining the mystery of lawlessness, THEN the man of iniquity will manisfest. Whom Jesus will destroy at his coming. Also, consider Revelation 6, the first seal. The firstbseal is believed to be the antichrist. Jesus is opening the seals, unleashing them. So the antichrist is sealed, restrained until he is given permission to do what he has to do. This is part of what 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 is about. What God is sending to those who reject God. So what happens to the spirit filled believer once God stops restraining the antichrist? We enter into the great tribulation. Every spirit filled believer will go through this difficult time, and we are told to endure until the end and be faithful. God's presence will be with us throughout it and will protect us from the plagues and judgements that will come to this world, just like he protected the Israelites in Egypt from the plagues that afflicted Egypt. We are called to trust God and to be faithful until Jesus returns. When He does, He will bring those who died in Him with Him, and those of us left alive will be taken (raptured) and in a blink of an eye and ALL of us (both dead and living in Christ) will be transformed to our new resurrected bodies. His coming is the last and final trumpet that is announced in 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4.

I have learnt that if a person doesn't want to believe in Jesus or any of the bible then they won't. No amount of archeological evidence, prophecy etc will convince them. So I just send it to them as a seed and hope somebody waters it and then it grows.
