😱 I had no idea there were hidden edges! I absolutely love this edition and glad I got it.

It does suck about Neil Gaiman. I haven't read Stardust, but I loved Coraline and The Graveyard Book and now they're a bit tainted for me. I did like the magnet; I'm not always a cutesie person, but I like it. The puffy sleeve is pretty cute too, though I'm not a huge fan of getting them anymore-I just have too many and make my own so I've turned pretty picky on them. The tumbler is cute-love purple and dragons, but I hear ya on having too many! Plus, I don't like a tumbler that isn't spill proof. Overall, I think this was a pretty good box. If a new subscriber to book boxes got it, I think they'd be pleased with it. Useful items, well designed and from across the screen, they look like they are good quality. Wow, that cover is nice! So shiny! This might be controversial, but I like it when a book doesn't have a dust jacket-as long as they are well designed like this one. And I think that's the first time I've seen a book from a book box do a hidden design like that! I don't know that I've even seen one for sale. Also, what is up with the vampire books? I guess the trend has come back around again. I don't hate them, but the last batch (Twilight, looking at you, sparkly vampires!) weren't that good...

Really shitty about Neil Gaiman, sorry the books are a bit tained for you. I can totally understand people liking the magnet design. And I do not blame you for being picky on the puffy sleeves, it's so cool that you make your own! And lol, yeah considering how often I knock over my drinks, I always need a canteen that is spill proof. So agreed, I think it is a pretty decent box and as you pointed out on their June Darkly Box, seems like they are putting effort into it again. YAS this cover was stunning! And dust jacket or no dust jacket, I just want my special editions to look phenomenal so I get it! This is actually the 2nd book that Bookish Box has done with a hidden design on the edges. The first one was actually for their special edition of Sanctuary of the Shadow from their March Bookish Box but I totally missed it until I was reading the book 🤦♀ I'm trying to be more vigilant when I do my unboxing videos so I don't miss out on showing every single detail, I just get so excited for a new book that I've missed things before 😅 Sparkly vampires! OMG, I am laughing so hard 🤣 Yeah, I'm honestly not sure if vampire books ever stopped being a thing but that is because I've constantly picked up vampire books throughout my life (thank you Anne Rice). However, perhaps it is becoming more mainstream again and that is the trend you are noticing? 🤷♀

@@nikkilovesbooks I think they're becoming more popular again. I definitely see trends in fantasy on what is popular, then it fades out and something else takes its place. (dystopia was popular for a while, then that faded.) I read all of Anne Rice too back in the 90s. She was really one of the more prolific authors of vamp fic for quite a while. I'm sure some vampire books were being published, but nothing that really took off. It just seems like everything from the 90s has come back around again! Have you seen some of the clothing recently? Major flashbacks!

@@LJG7654 Hahaha the 90s fashion that has come back is so funny to me! And yes, trends come and go and definitely get repeated for sure.

I'm conflicted about the bookish box now because i've got my june combo book only box and I love the faux leather with the holographic center and hidden edges, but was not a fan of the darkly book.
