I always found it ironic that DR, spock wrote a book on raising childen when he had none, which also explains why he got so much of it wrong.

I found that people without child think they have all the answers to child rearing, when in reality their views are idealistic & miss the mark much of the time. They say things like, I wouldn’t allow it but never say how to. They tend not to grasp the depth of parenting a child every minute for years with outside influences.

Question 77: The voting rights act of 1965 did not grant the right to vote to African Americans-the 15th amendment to the US Constitution did that in 1870. The Voting Rights Act provided much needed enforcement against discrimination in voting practices.

Too many of the questions have nothing to do with the everyday life of baby boomers--the rate of babies being born, for example. These are questions more typical of someone who read about the period and didn't live in it.

Of the others remarkably I only couldn't answer 5 (mainly due to what happened in the 40's). The last question, I have no idea. Anyway, bought a lot of memories back. So the magic answer for this person born in 1949 was 89 correct. Not too shabby for this old fart . When I was less than five or six years old, I don’t remember or Care about a lot of this stuff. And a lot of the 1940 things were not taught in elementary school. What was more important…..by the mid 50s we finally got a very first telephone. My uncle John was coming to fix the television so we could watch wonderful world of Disney then we can watch Mickey Mouse Club at noon time. But she was off. We had to watch Search for tomorrow. I have a suggestion make your quizzes 50 questions instead of 100. Bonus question answer is the famous flames.

I think you are correct baby boomer generation was 1946 to 1964. Although I have heard some historians say 1945 to 65. I agree because because World War II ended in 1945. Human gestation is usually nine months (unless the baby is premature) or longer if you have to try a lot. Besides when you’re on the six or seven years old who remembers that stuff that happened in the late 40s.

It REALLY was "The ALL NEW Mickey Mouse Club" in 1951 on TV as the PREVIOUS one was only on NBC Radio according to NBC TV archives!!! There were only SIX kids on it in 1955 my older sister and I can remember! The "baby boom" in the US began in 1942 (men leaving pregnant wives) and ended in 1957 (the last Korean War babies) based on ELEMENTARY SKRUL ENROLLMENT!!! I was born in 1953 and my 1971 Graduating Class was the smallest (less than 1000) in 48 years. I ONLY had 51 students in Mrs. Wolfe's First Grade class-the smallest she had in 30+ years with ONLY two First Grade teachers (four classes) instead of THREE teachers and six classes as my 4 year-older sister had, ALL of 60-odd students (supposed to be 63). The largest Public Skrul enrolments in Tulsa, OK. were 1946-1948, so MOST of your "questions" are Bull! The Beatles were ALL "baby boomers" in England where their boom was 1937-1949 with the Anglo-Israeli War and Anglo-Palestine Wars. My sister and I grew-up listening to the RADIO SHOWS, NOT TV!!! The TV stations here in Tulsa were only allowed to broadcast 8 hours daily, and were OFF in the afternoons.
