Correct me if I’m wrong but you also get the camos if you buy the pack, you only have to play 3 games in them if you already have the vehicle and don’t buy the pack

True, but if you have most of the vehicles and is only missing a couple then buy the vehicle individually and not the bundle as it’s not a good deal that way

The boomerang mk2 is a good ground pounder when you lode ground belts in the 20mm on top of the bombs and use the 7.7mm to hunt planes

About 2 years ago I bought another Ausie - Wirraway. I'm a very bad with fighters. I prefer tanks, bombers, attackers. 🙂 A while ago I had a kind of dogfight (2 kills, 1st place). Pros: turns tight, high max speed limit, not bad guns in the middle. Cons: a bit slow, only 2 guns, fast overheating on WEP. It has a weird ammo order: 1st - turret, 2nd - hull. Maybe one of the next reviews will be Wirraway? I'm interested how to play, what ammo etc.

Love to know Gaijin's explanation for the difference in the insanely high repair cost for their BR, performance, and Premium status. I noticed you did not mention this aspect. Every now and then Gaijin decides to remove from game usefulness a premium it has sold its suckers like me (I got it way way back), especially true for anything successful in the British tree. The Boomerangs used to have Yak style magical performance until too many Wehrboos complained and it was effectively killed off as a competitive Premium. Up BR'd, repair costs from hundreds to 3-4K depending on variant, heavy performance nerf, the mkII is 1K cheaper to repair yet gets bombs ...only Gaijin. There is a reason you rarely see this plane any more, and pretty nauseating to see Gaijin try to play this con on us again and cash in. I appreciate the more realistic performance but the repair costs are unjustified in comparison to many much higher BR better performing premiums.

About the wing issue i sometimes have my wingtip shot off and the visual damage model doesn’t display it, yet the damage would very much be there. Always a bit confusing when it does happen

Yeah, it needs to be lower than 3.0, that’s for sure. I have the Corsair Mk.II and just use that instead as it’s better.

Of course it is. Although this gameplay mostly focussed on the Mk II, the Mk I can easily do the same as it’s the same performance. My gameplay highlighted its strengths and its competitive at 3.0. As for things like the Corsair, they’ve always been stupidly low BR and not necessarily modeled properly because of it

The Boomerang is not really competitive against the actual turn fighters at 3.0. I often fly the Chinese KI 43 III at this BR. Its two 12.7 mm with HEI air targets belts will remove this planes wings with just a few rounds. They hit harder than some 20mm. 2.0 or 2.3 is a better BR for this thing but it isn't going to be any better of a turn fighter there either.

The clipped wings? As cool as they are unfortunately they are a little difficult to play compared to other spitfires. The only real benefit is a better roll rate but it’s not worth the sacrifices. In reality it’s meant to have superior low altitude performance but it’s not modelled in game

Well the f4u-1a is at a lower BR than it and it's a late 1943 plane (needs a full uptier to face the 1940 A6M2, also)
