What i love so fucking much about this, is that it feels like some insane Special Superpower Special Effect, but it's literally just having the Actor in the Scene when shooting it. It's not like Movie-Making cares about what the diegetic chronology, yet it feels so fresh and amazing. Willem Dafoe will be one of the things i will afways love these movies for, regardless of how dumb some of the other things are.

You misspelled "over". Don't get me wrong, this movie is a fun little shoot em up, and Dafoe is a delight, but this movie is in no way "underrated", it has a massively outsized following. Not every 90s shoot em up gets a (definitely inferior) sequel. Shit, The Way of the Gun is 10x better than this film, with some of the best and most realistic shootouts ever put to film, but it's basically unheard of.

He's pushing the guns forward as if that makes the bullets hit harder, or does anything other than throw his aim off (if he's even aiming in the first place) After watching the flipside scene, I noticed this is actually a pretty good detail on his character. He never was good in a serious gun fight and doesn'tknow how to really use a gun, he hesitated during the Il Duce shootout, and tries to show off his gun skills with flare emphasis, like crossing his arms in the club, and pushing the gun forward when shooting the bartender and in this scene.
