I have three pair of Tecovas that I ordered over the last two months: suede, Carmen belly, and Ostrich . I have narrow feet, so I added a 3/4 insole to snug me up a little and that works well. Very high quality and classy boot. Love ‘em! Now I have to get a couple hats.

Tecovas are going to take over the boot market! Hand made, great customer service ( talked to me on the phone for 45 mins to make sure the fit was right for me and eventually traded me for a larger size!) and the look and feel GREAT! Try them on for size.

@@thomastomlinson6810 I had American made Ariats and they lasted for 10 yrs of hard use. 5-6 re-heels, and I only deep sized them when the soles stated splitting. I have Tecovas that only get light duty and Luchesse that replaced the Ariat’s. The Luc”s are by far the finest boot I’ve ever owned but have re-heeled them twice already in two yrs (they’re Ropers so the heel is smaller). Chinese Ariat’s? I’m not spending money to support the Chinese if I don’t have to.

Yes I do have a pair of Tecovas Jackson, I actually got them in the mail yesterday afternoon, and I also have a pair of Luccheses in transit as well, and I am already wanting to buy the Tecovas Earl. Boy! I am originally from Latin America and although I’m from the city I spent a lot of years in the country, where boots are part of the daily wear. When I moved to the US I left behind a pair of hand made boots that I wore for over 6 years. Bad mistake. Fast forward 35 years, and here we are, my first pair of boots since, mostly because my wife despises cowboy boots. But to hell with her I got me my boots.

@@agelesspuma Don't pay any attention to Nate's comment. He's evidently got a weird foot, as some people do. I'm a native Texan and I know boots. My Tecova Cartwright bourbon are the most comfortable factory made boots I've ever pulled on. I live an hour from Dallas and drove to their store last weekend to check them out. I was extremely impressed with the fit and comfort of the boots and bought a pair. I'm going to get me a pair of ostrich also. Ariat boots are made offshore in several different countries, one of which is China. Tecovas are made in Leon, Mexico, where many, many brands of footwear are manufactured. They are hand made by Mexican craftsmen. If you research brands of USA made boots, you'll find Mexican craftsmen also making their boots, Lucchese and Dan Post being just a couple. I wear a 10-1/2 in most shoes and the Tecova 10-1/2-D fit me perfectly. I tried on a pair of 11's and they were too loose. Buy a pair and walk around the house on carpet until you decide if you are satisfied. If you don't like them, send them back. Shipping is free both ways.

I love my Tecovas boots. I own six pairs -- four Earls and two Wyatts (ostrich). Their customer service is one of the best I've ever worked with. Haven't gotten the Cartwright boots yet, but they are next on my list from Tecovas. Been wearing the Earls to work with khakis. Received a few compliments and the question, "are those cowboy boots you're wearing?" I replied that they look like Chelsea boots, minus the side elastic, which I don't like. Since wearing my Earls to work, I've built up my confidence and now wear a pair of round toe Justin roper boots and a pair of square toe Ariat boots. Hoping as time goes by, no one will really ask questions any more and will just be known as the guy who always wears cowboy boots.

Do it. I bought a pair of their ostrich in cowboy heel, The Wyatt, and they're my favorite boot I've ever put on my foot. I own a pair of Double H and Ariat ropers, which isn't much but I'm very picky on which boot I wear and my Tecovas far exceed anything else that is sold in stores. I've spent hours in boot barns trying on low, mid and higher end boots, and they don't even come close to them. Just do yourself a favor and get a pair. If you don't like them, just return em. I was wary on buying a pair of $350 boots online, then I received them, put them on, and I knew immediately that I had made a great purchase based off what I had tried on previously. True to size, comfy, soft, amazing quality control(store bought had many imperfections otherwise I wouldn't own these), broken in feel right out of the box, and great looking

I have 4 pairs of cowboy boots (just started buying them in October 2022). I have a pair of Justin with smooth Ostrich lowers (size 12 EE), a pair of Necona HR 5571 square tow boots (size 10.5 EE) , a pair of Arita Work Boots (11,5 D) and my most recent pair was the Tecovas The Cartwright in 11.5 D. Of all the boots, only the Tecovas boot size fits like what I would typically wear in every day dress shoes. The Tecovas boots are by far the best constructed and most comfortable boots out of the box. I’ve been looking at The Doc model as a second pair of Tecovas, but I haven’t convinced my wife on that score yet.

Hi. I own a pair of Tecova Cartwright boots. I am very happy with them. The quality; style and especially the fit. I'm a little confused however. In another video you were asked what boots in your opinion are over- rated. Your reply was Tony Lama and... Tecova. ??? On another subject, you mentioned that you buy on occasion, used boots. I never considered that however I took your advice and found a pair of vintage, made in USA, Nocona Boots in my size and they looked to be like new. I bid on them and won the auction at $55. I have a pair of Dukes. After a short time, the right boot developed a squeak. I contacted customer service about it and they said they would happily replace the boot or refund the price back. I decided to wear them so more to see if the squeak would go away. Other than than, the boots r very comfortable and look great.

Thanks for all of your boot videos! I'm really enjoying them. By the way, the lack of stitching on the vamp (about 2:45 of your video) isn't a Tecovas thing; it's a roper thing. Ropers generally have a smooth, unstitched vamp. The Tecovas cowboy boots do have stitching on the vamp. I've got The Earl in chocolate and The Cole in midnight. I love them both, but think The Coles are just stunning. I get a lot of compliments on them! Something about the caiman leather in black...

I think they went with the no stitching for a reason. I think they know their market and want to convert some folks who aren't used to some of the more "western" styles. Crazy how many negative comments about Jeremiah buying to return. Jeremiah's channel does the entire industry a service. I think the negative commentators missed the bigger picture, it's not a one time knock off video but part of a bigger channel watched by many potential customers. Kind of clever how the youtube phenomenon has morphed advertising in this way. And Jeremiah's class really shines through in his responses.

Hi! I'm in the US so I'm not sure about shops in the UK. Can anyone in the comments help with that?? Style is completely up to you. There are a lot of different types. If you're used to wearing heels, you'll probably be fine with traditional cowboy boots. If not, ropers which have a 1in block heel, is a good transition. As for brands, Boulets are my favorties but these Tecovas are impressive too.

Yes trad is anywhere from 1 3/8in to 2in. You can find some incredible deals buying second hand boots but the downside is they won't be broken into your foot. Thats the fun of buying new. Cowboy boots will form to your foot over years of wear. The best is when you find like new barely worn used boots for cheap. Look at the soles and how new the rest of the boot appears.

I ordered a pair last Thursday in 10.5 EE same as my Tony Lamas, they arrived Saturday but they were too small so I sent them back Monday and reordered size 11 EE and they arrived the following Wednesday. That is crazy good service

I looked for a reason to send them back for a refund (because they cost soo much) but the 11 EE fit too perfect and they smell so amazing the scales are so perfect on the right boot it looks almost fake but the left boot is a little off but still looks very good. I bought my pair of ostrich ropers in December and is my first pair. I love the boots i get so many compliments. But there is some things I would prefer on the boot. I would love for their roper boots to have the taller shaft as it shows to much because my pats taper down as they get closer to my ankles. I opted out of the cowboy heel because i an 6’4” and don’t need any more height. But all in all the boot is nice.

I like the taller shafts too. Tecovas are just shorter in general. Even their boots with cowboy heels. You should try a pair of boots with the cowboy heels it's only a 1/2 inch to 5/8 inch more than the roper heels in most cases. Plus the taller shaft comes with most of the time. Try Boulet next if you want taller shafts but they are a little smaller. So if you are an 11 with Tecovas try a 10.5 or 10 in Boulets

You sure you don't want to keep them? lol! I've had my Earls for over 6 months now- been wearing them 2-3 times/week. They have only gotten better. The fit and comfort is incredible! I actually lament taking them off at the end of the day. One thing to note, the Roper style is the only one with the unadorned vamp. Their traditional cowboy boot (Cartwright) has the stitching on the vamp.

I wanted to review these because Tecovas is really pushing their boots to a younger market and increasing interest in boots altogher and the Earl seems like that perfect transition boot for a lot of people. But my hear will always be with the traditional western heel!

Hell yeah man. I'm still cautious since I'm in between sizes. Left foot is closer to an 11.5 but normal width. Right foot is 11 but wide. Always a trick to find a decent fit. Been eyballing Tecovas for a minute, I was just scared to make the maker to consumer model. Thank you for the insight.

hey Derek Knight. :) I'f youre a 6 footer and let's just say that you usually wear shoes with the US size of 8 to 9. If that's the case, please allow me to say that a US size 11 to 13 would still look really hot on you. You can wear bigger shoe sizes with sole extenders to fill out the extra spaces inside the footwear. There are more ways for you to fill out the extra spaces inside of them.

For me it is in most factory manufactured boots. I have a narrow foot and so few companies actually make narrow sizes. Which means that in order for me to have a decent fit I have to go down a size and my foot has to go farther into the boot than what it was meant for. If you have a narrow foot it will be normal for you too unfortunately until more companies release B widths

@@JeremiahCraig My foot is between a D and EE so if I buy the wide it ends up too loose so I usually end up having to deal with the D being a little too snug until it breaks in. I've been thinking of getting a handmade boot so the fit is perfect.

Hey Jeremiah I have a pair of caiman boots and the other day i was going to wear them and I noticed the leather on the side of the vamp was starting to peel a little bit any recommendation??

At the outsole or up higher on the side? If it's started to peel away from the outsole take it to a cobbler. If the leather is only starting to peel at the creases in the leather, use some exotic leather conditioner to keep it from happening more

@@joserosales6589 Make sure you condition your boots at least four times a year! I highly recommend Saphir products! Renovateur for leather, and they have other conditioners for exotics, including shell cordovan, lizard, gators and others. It's not cheap, but it's the best stuff in the world. It also goes a long way! Enjoy!!

I am always skeptical of reviews like this where a product is evaluated right out of the box, worn around a single room for 5 minutes. How are they after a week, a month, 3 months later. I have purchased boots that felt great in the store but a week later were horrible.

Exactly my thoughts too. And it's odd when the person doing the review speaks with the style of a kindergarten teacher. It's odd as well when the review has multiple videos of the same product they supposedly have no connection to. And it's odd they have the time to reply to hundreds of comments on multiple videos like it was a full time job. And where is the detailed material comparison. The whole explanation of no toe stitching is more like an excuse for no toe stitching. Your average review person would not just say that Tecova boots they have seen online that are worn don't look bad in the toe area with no to stitching. It seems like a well designed and paid for acting job of a review than an actual review. If Disney made boot reviews this would be it! Lol Or Billy Mays, bless his soul, and RonCo selling slap choppers, showtime grills, pocket fksherman rods, and Beadazzelers! Buyer Beware, always!

@Jerry I did the 3 month later vid and they ended up feeling too tight over that period. If I were doing it again I would've gotten a half size bigger. Hope this helps

Tecovas are making waves in the industry right now, so it would be unwise for a cowboy boot channel to not have a couple videos on this brand. Also, if someone is putting up videos, they should make the time to reply to most comments, as creating and posting the video is really only half the job...Disney kicks ass!!!

I'm really wanting a pair of the Johnnys but they're made out of suede, and I'm a mechanic, so I'm not sure that would pan out too well, what do you think? I read somewhere on one of their website review answers to a person's question that Tecovas are not currently interested in building boots for work, but instead for dress. That's crazy to me, boots were made to be worked in.

I agree. Boots were made to be worked in and I think that's why they're so durable. Still that doesn't mean they can look good in other situations... I can see the suede being super susceptible to stains from oils and grease. That said, the Johnnys are also waterproof so I'm sure they will be able to withstand whatever you deal them as long as you don't mind them getting dirty and stained. The Mocha color might be the best option because its darker color will hide stains better. It's really up to you. The stitching and piping is better than a lot of western work boots I've seen and own.

I was thinking about the Mocha also for them reasons. You may have just sold me on a pair. My Dad and I were both wanting them but didn't know how they would withstand in our line of work. I've also noticed most cowboy boots I do a half size smaller then my normal shoes. So with the Tecovas brand it's about spot on with same size as normal shoes that one wears?

It all depends the width of your foot too. I would say try your cowboy boot size first. Then if it doesn't fit right just exchange for free. That's a huge benefit of Tecovas. Free returns and exchanges.

Love my Tecovas. I have the chocolate Cartwrights and they look and fit great. That model has the vamp stitching. I wear a 13 and that is the size that I ordered and they are spot on. Another plus is the quality. One would pay twice what these costs for the same quality boot....so they’re a great deal too. Just have to wonder...why are you returning them? You apparently liked them and they are a color that you said that you didn’t have.

@@JeremiahCraig They are not the best fitting boots around in my opinion, and the styles are limited mostly to a snip toe and highly stylized patterns. The pair I own are a regular J toe, two inch heel traditional cowboy boot style without any stitching. They cost a lot but fail to have good support on the arch of the foot. This I think is because it lacks any form of pegging in that area and is just a 'flat' run down to the sole of the boot. I love em, but can't walk in them all day. I would advise caution when buying sendra haha

It's the same from what I can tell except with the zipper which means they will fit underneath more types of pants better and feel more secure to newer boot wearers. I used to have Aldo's with the zip on the side. They're ok but I like the room in a cowboy boot better. There's more space for air and I feel like my foot is more comfortable and cooler in a regular boot without the zip. But that's just me
