Cesare killed Juan because he was spiraling downward into self-destruction. Juan's humiliating defeat at Forli and his opium use to dull the pain of his injured leg and his syphilis were bad enough. But when he threatened Lucrezia's child that crossed the line with Cesare, and people usually end up dead when that happens. lol As for Cesare and Lucrezia, Neil Jordan is just being a wuss. European versions of The Borgais didn't avoid the incest angle. Just look at HBO's Game Of Thrones! LOL

Rodrigo was very smart but when it came to Juan, he could be so blind. He would let pass all of Juan’s mistakes, would turn a blind eye of every of his crimes, would always forgive him no matter what he did, would grant him all of the honors while being sometimes very harsh and inflexible towards his other kids, and after that, he was surprised to find out there would be people who hated Juan, even though he basically OFFERED these people good reasons to hate him just with the preferencial treatment and even though he literally made Juan the stupid and cruel man he became, since Juan knew that no matter what he did, his father would always clean up the mess behind him
@bolt39052 жыл бұрын
I feel like it had to do with the fact that the rest of his kids had potential and where smart. Juan was not really smart and a angry person, what better way than to let all that anger go than a battlefield. He gave everyone else more important positions, like Lucrezia was left in charge of the papal state every time he was out of Rome. Juan position was to simply get him out of his way, with out worrying much.

I was really disgusted by anyone's behaviour with this situation , mostly for Rodrigo, he had to mour his son alone, he couldn't share his pain with anyone, because no one cared, he had to bury him alone because no one cared enough, they were all busy partying and dancing. Really tragic, Both Jeremy Irons and David Oakes deserve emmy for their Season 2 performances

Juan (dead guy) murdered Lucretia's (yelling girl) lover Paolo. Paolo was also the father of her son.
@fanyrf812 жыл бұрын
I’m not justifying Juan, but is not like Cesare and Luc are saints just think on the families that he has hurt, and you kill your own brother the one you played with when you were little, don’t feel any remorse and dance around his grave knowing how bad your parents are feeling is worse than killing your sister´s lover, besides of envy him when going to war is worst that being a priest. Juan was a tormented soul while Cesare knew what he was doing, but on his defense Paolo was good unlike Jaun
@iamlinda1007 жыл бұрын
killing Paolo was not the only bad thing Juan had done, he also tortured Caterina Sforza's son and endangered Lucrezia's son, and humiliated the family many times...Juan was out of control, killing him was the only way to free Juan from his own destructive self and save the reputation of the family before Juan could be driven completely insane. I'm not saying that what Cesare did was right, but killing Juan was inevitable and understandable. Juan was bound to be killed sooner or later, if not by Cesare then it would've been by someone else. And no one said Cesare and Lu were "saints" either, this is the Borgia family, they are not called the "original crime family" for nothing, they're all corrupted.

Is that not what most boys( and men) do when they watch shows like Game of Thrones and talk about how hot the naked female characters are? You would have to say that most of them are watching it for the wrong reasons too. Please stop with the double standard. Just because these girls comment that the guys are attractive doesn't mean that they can't be engrossed in other aspects such as the superb acting. Even if so, they aren't any more shallow than the guys who do it. News flash most people watch media shallowly. No need to single out girls for it. Yes, I took it there, sorry but it had to be said.
