I agree, the very root-cause and source of discrimination is the Aryan mindset and their policy of imposition of Vedic culture. They were successful to a great extent through their policy of assimilation and discriminating those that didn't comply. The people in power back then, starting from the bachelor king, Kumar Bhaskar Barma failed to promote the indigenous culture, religion and language. This was also the reason why Vedic culture imposition in prehistoric and ancient Assam was a success. Those who resisted it like the Bodos were at the receiving end and it lasted for centuries. In spite of the challenges, the Bodos have displayed a great level of resilience. They have been able to preserve many aspects of their ancient belief system, language, tradition and culture, albeit at a great cost! The Chinese pilgrim, Hiuen Tsang (Also called Xuangzhang), who travelled to Kamrup somewhere between 632 and 650AD described the subjects of Kumar Bhaskar as people who spoke a different tongue (probably a prototype language popular at that time that was similar to Bodo, Dimasa, Garo, Rabha, kok Borok and other similar tribal languages of today), physically not so tall, having copper brown or yellowish skin tone and having flat noses. He also wrote that the people performed animal sacrifices to please their devas. He appears to be describing the subjects as racially of the Indo-mongoloid stock, who dominated the Kamrup region, i.e the Bodos and other similar ethnic tribals of current day Assam and Tripura. These people fit into the description presented by the Chinese pilgrim. "मोदाय होनाय" among some Bodos is still a seasonal ritual performed before important ceremony like new rice eating event. It originally and traditionally involved sacrificing a chicken and blood offered to the मोदाय/madai or devas. If I am not wrong, the Dimasas too perform "madai huba" which is quite similar to this practice. The translated versions of this Chinese monk's account describes the King as a Brahmin. He is said to have inherited the throne through his lineage from mythological Narakasur who is the son of God, the sustainer and mother Earth. So, it makes him (Narakasur) a Bwisumuthiary meaning descendant of or belonging to mother Earth in Bodo. Scholars dispute the Brahmin status claims of Kumar Bhaskar Barma due to his ancestry to the asurs (a non-confirmist to Vedic culture). Moreover, he was not born into the Vedic culture but got initiated into it by inviting Brahmins from Kannauj and Bhojpur and donating lands to facilitatee their settlements in Kamrup. More research is needed and our scholars need to get hold of the original writings in Chinese about the accounts of Hiuen Tsang. Else, there will always be some adamant scholars, who read the biased translations and get the wrong information. In due course of time, I hope someone will be able to present an accurate word for word translation of the Chinese pilgrim's account! This is a lesson for the people in power today and every citizen in the current times to take a futuristic and thoughtful stand in order to avoid errors of the past. History usually repeats itself. Anything that is repeated should always be a representation of the glorious past and not the similar errors that can be detrimental to the Bodo race!

The Mech(sal-stambha dynasty)650 AD Such a glorious chapter in history of kamrup, a powerfull kingdom who conquered almost 1/4 of India mis_represeted. The first doc was an eye opener. I Though this doc is going to be different unlike the misinformed doc availablein other channels. But now its seems like an insult to my ancestors. Follow Edward Gait and these doc r gona be shit.
