Tatum taking 3’s whether he’s making them or not is a positive for the Celtics because it keeps the defense honest. It doesn’t matter if he’s 1-8 the fact he is always a threat to pull up and can and has hit big pull up 3’s before makes the defense have to think about it and guard it and that is why Tatum takes so many 3’s. It’s part of what generates so many wide open looks for his teammates because of the gravity Tatum commands. If he wasnt willing to shoot whenever Teams would start sagging which means less spacing

Hate to break it to you, but 38% from three is more efficient and generate more points than 56% from 2. Its just is. 36% is the threshold for threes, not 40. I dunno where you got that. 52% from two generates same points as 36% from three.

Actually 36% represents 108 points per 100 shots. It's the same as 54% from twos.

Lol 38% is great 35% and above is considered a good 3 point shooter hed probably shoot 40 if he wasn’t our primary ball handler as much as he is. If your bringing it up and dribbling live you’ll have to take tougher shots sometimes. It’ll balance out hell have a game where he cant miss and there will be nothing to say
