I will say whats amazing abour dragula is you can never tell based off promo and entrances who will slay and not . Nio , and Throb have very basic promo/entrance but they have SLAYED. I mean Nio has a BUDGET did you see how many stones shes wore ? Meanwhile blackberri had a custom latex(or vinyl?) promo look and has worn a sleeping bag and Lil annie Cosplay

How did Fantasia not win this one based on performance? Herstory lesson: one of the original inspos for Betty Boop was a Black performer named "Baby Esther" so I feel like that might have been a reference she was pulling from. I thought Fantasia really brought it in terms of performance, it's the first time her look really matched the theme (no shade) and gave us some herstory - and I think strangling herself with the mic at the end was creative. Anyway. I really wanted this to be hers.

I was kinda underwhelmed by this floor show. The looks were good, but so many didn't follow the prompt close enough for my liking. I wanted to know how these characters were associated with the hotel and how they died. IMO, Jay Kay was the only one who executed everything, so the win was clear and well deserved (even if the look was a bit rough around the edges). Throb... well props for saying "F you" to the prompt entirely and going with "I'm the murderer" instead of "I'm a victim", lol - the look was excellent though, so major props there. Orkgotik - it looked cool, but WTF did it have to do with haunted hotel? I guess maybe was like a summoned demon? Kind of a stretch for the category IMO Satanna - just wasn't pushed hard enough. I did like the look though, reminded me of Mrs. Peacock from Clue. Ana - the manner of death was clear, just not the connection to the hotel. And could've used more "oomph" at the gun moment (I'm imagining if she pulled the trigger and a red glitter bomb exploded from the back of her head) Fantasia - I would've leaned more into the sexy hotel lounge singer motif, less Betty Boop and more Jessica Rabbit. Also, why didn't she grab that microphone and sing into it? That would've been an incredible campy moment! But no, it just swung there... Blackberry - I liked it, high safe makes sense. Cynthia - forgettable next to Jay Kay, also unclear as the exact role in the hotel and manner of death. I'm guessing bellhop? But how did they die? Jarvis - again, how did they die? I'm guessing they were a tourist of some kind based on the luggage prop? Niohuru - the concept worked for me just because I used to work at a hotel and saw wedding parties all the time. So a ghost bride who met a tragic during her reception, very plausible.

How would she even construct that kind of thing? Like how would she make a glitter bomb explode right when she shot her head I don’t understand. And black berries didn’t make any sense to me😭 if ur gonna criticize throb for missing the prompt then how did blackberry die?

@boba4476 actually I commended Throb for having the nerve to wholeheartedly go against the prompt. And Blackberri's manner of death was pretty readable IMO, she was the cigarette girl that got burned to death (maybe not the most realistic idea, but campy & fun which is definitely her MO). As for Ana, people wear bathrobes everywhere so the hotel angle is still not strong. And the glitterbomb idea is just a spitball idea on how she could've amped it up, which was one of the judge's biggest criticisms of her showing. Might be difficult to pull off, but just imagine if she did make it work.

I interpreted it as a bride who died at the hotel after being crushed by a heavy ornate mirror during her wedding reception. I used to work at a hotel previously and saw many wedding parties in the lobby and event spaces (and that lobby furniture is heavy as hell), so at least in my mind it was plausible. More so than Orkgotic at least, which I still couldn't tell you how their look related to the challenge, lol.

Nio was a jealous bride who’s future husband cheated on her with her sister so she grabbed the portrait of her sister that her future husband drew and smashed her head through it in order to “be” her sister. But she was so enveloped in rage that she did not foresee the consequence of her action which would cause her to severely injure herself and eventually die

I hate when judges judge contestants based on what they did outside of the show. Jarvis and Anna have a free pass every week, becasue judges like them - not because they did good in the competition. At this point Jarvis is being pushed through the competition. This weeks episode was clearly written for him - everything from the theme to the song screamed "We want Jarvis to win" - this challenge was created for him and he still did bad. How many times does he have to flop to get to the bottom? He already flopped 3 challenged in a row.
