✨I remember people complained so much when this movie came out saying, "They spent too much time setting this movie up." And it hit me people didn't realize they weren't just setting this movie, they were laying a foundation for any Jason Bourne movie after this that didn't include Matt Damon, because he felt he was getting too old to do them, and obviously they wanted to continue them if they could. Anyhow, I loved this movie. It wasn't Jason Bourne, but I fully enjoyed Aaron Cross, and thought Jeremy Renner was great as the lead!✨

yup the complaints killed the legacy series. this one was literally a setup for another agent and frankly the idea of a smart drug that fixed the agent so he was no longer intelectually disables was a perfect motivator for this movie so i liked it. could it have used more of a big bad, yea and i wish they had put out a second movie because that was clearly going to be next.

Unlike many people, I like this one a lot. Anything done in this universe, with or without Jason Bourne, is fine by me if it's done well. Plus, I really enjoy Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz as actors.

I think the bigest factor on wheather ppl liked the movie or not, was their expectation before starting to watch the movie, ppl who go in knowing that it is not about jason, but the world around the program and consequenses. generaly liked it. The ones who thought it was a 4th installment/the next in the main story, had a dissapointment/lower reception

Unfortunately people raged on this movie for no other reason than it wasn't Jason Bourne. Good movie that never stood a chance because people just wanted more Jason. It's the makers of the movie's fault though, using the title of a Jason Bourne book.

Jason is alive. There is a scene in this film where Aaron watches the TV and there's some news about a "Jason Bourne Sighting", plus the Government officials still mention him in a way that hints he's not dead yet, just in the hiding.

The Bourne Legacy” is a separate film that follows a different character, Aaron Cross, and runs parallel to the events of “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Both movies are part of the Bourne film series but have different storylines and protagonists.

This movie timeline-wise parallels the Ultimatum one... The only time you see Jason's name is early on when he has carved his name in the roof timber of the cabin where "Aaron" is sleeping...

I'm actually a little surprised you knew nothing about this movie. Most of us knew that Matt Damon wasn't in this movie as he had stated he didn't want to play Jason Bourne again at the time. This movie was to set up a series of movies based on that universe with potentially Jeremy Renner and/or more actors playing Bourne like characters. While I enjoyed the movie, it didnt do well and almost killed the series. I personally like this better then the next one. I have a feeling that if they do make another Bourne movie it will be based in the Treadstone TV series universe, at least at the moment and less the current movie series. Either that or they'll go full Reboot/Remake route. Also, hope your shoulders are feeling better and healing up!

there would be absolutely no reason to remake the originals, they're perfect as they are and will never be outdated. if they did it would just end up like the total recall remake, which is one of the worst movies ever made. i think the original total recall was perfect as well and had no need for a remake, it was completely pointless.

Young people have no idea of Bourne series history… the director of the original series and the production company had a falling out and Matt Damon would only work with that director. So series was suspended. No sure if they were trying to start series up again w Renner. Then they made the last ome with Matt…

Great reaction as always, truly enjoy your content! FYI...U.S. Military does lots of specialized training in Alaska at their Northern Warfare Training Center. Highly specialized units and individuals go through courses like Cold Weather Orientation, Mountaineering, Cold Weather Indoctrination, and Climbing. Spent some time up there in the late 90's.

I really enjoyed this movie and your reaction. I guess because I knew the cast, I wasn’t disappointed that Jason wasn’t in it and went along for the ride that was intended. A 6.6 on IMDB? Come on!

This was an awesome, thrilling spin-off imo and my favourite Jeremy Renner lead role in a movie. This is also probably my favourite Rachel Weisz movie. I found the chemically enhanced soldier plot interesting and it retains the feel of a Bourne movie, plus the action sequences are as good as the other movies. Underrated I'd say.

Actually of the first 3 movies, My favourite was the first one, 2 & 3 are more standard action movies, Identity was a bit more complex than that for me... also 2 & 3 Took the shakey cam too far, Spoiled the action scenes a bit as well is my feeling.. 👍

I remember the filming in the Philippines was such a big deal back then. People were a bit disappointed that it showed the worst parts of Metro Manila, but I’m glad El Nido in Palawan got the ending sequence

Funny enough I never saw this movie, because I was kinda getting tired of the Bourne movies. Liked the first two, the third one really put me off with its heavy-heavy use of shaky-cam (there were "normal" scenes of people talking in a boardroom, and the camera was shaking like crazy. I was like wut?) So like when this movie came out I just was not interested at all. I actually thought to this day that Jeremy Renner WAS playing Jason Bourne, just replacing Matt Damon. I had no idea he was just playing another character within the shared universe and story. Thats interesting I suppose. Maybe I will give this movie a second chance.

Personally, I think _The Bourne Legacy_ not as bad as its detractors like to say, but it missed some opportunities to differentiate Aaron Cross from Jason Bourne, especially given the "Flowers for Algernon" backstory Aaron has going and the utter desperation he feels to stave off his mental regression without the chems. Unfortunately, this comes across almost as a generic ticking clock than a threat (even more threatening to Aaron than his former handlers now trying to kill him), as they solve his problem permanently before he develops more than a few minor symptoms. And as soon as he endures basically one night of not-fun, he's immediately back and fighting-fit. And I hate to say it, but I felt that the final chase sequence felt too long, which is unfortunate given that it's essentially the Final Boss Battle of the film.

Youre a pretty good reactor but i wish you'd react to more than just the action shots. Some dialogue scenes are worth reacting to too. You skipped the whole cabin scene & just started from when it got blown up. Plus when you cut so much you end up with a pretty anemic reaction-i think this one is 23 minutes? The average length reaction for a normal length movie is usually around 35-45 minutes-otherwise you have to cut way too much. Just my thoughts.
