Genius works by the production design. Never thought they actually shot it in a sound stage. When i saw it on screen for the 1st time i thought they actually shot it in a house...

So brutal and violent. fighting to the death. The way Bourne utilizes the hand towel in so bad ass and clever. Also the way he twists the towel to make it even tighter around Desh’s neck. Nicky’s reaction is also the audience’s reaction. She also realizes right then and there how fucked up the tread stone / black briar program is

-"bUt tHe sHakY cAm rUiNeD tHe FiGhT". NEWSFLASH! Paul Greengrass said on another clip he wants the fights to look messy and chaotic, more like domestic violence. He is not looking for spectacle, if you want to see spectacle go watch The Raid, Mission Impossible, 007, or John Wick (all great in their own way) but that's not what Bourne is about. -"eXcUsEs fOr PoOrLy FiLmEd AcTiOn ScEnEs". There's a reason these films got praise from critics and viewers (and everyone tried to copy the style very poorly for the next 5 years or so). Bourne action scenes are mostly clear if you open your eyes and pay attention. ;)

+Peter van Lubeek (Misterkami) Sorry, but this is the quality of western choreography. Actors are selected based on looks and popularity rather than capability. Just watch some old school chinese martial arts films, you'll fall in love.

I love the old school Chinese movies. Truely talented martial artists clearly displayed on camera. I also agree on the quality of western choreography in comparison as a whole.. however, the raw footage of this scene was really good; until the camerawork destroyed it.

tbh, I don't really like it, it still seemed too much of a mess. I watch movies because I want some really nice looking and clean fights, not something that i could just go and watch in UFC.

Come on...The camerawork didn't destroy anything. It didn't force more cuts on them, and as a matter of fact, it did have realism in that sense. I wasn't forced away from the action, I was closed in on it.

@@chuckjammy9251 I just finished rewatching the entire trilogy and i think the shaky cam makes it more grounded and adds a layer of realism... cameras have various purposes for how they are used...in Daredevil, John Wick or The Raid the story is slick and cool and the actions are centre piece.... whereas in Bourne films the action are secondary and the imminent threat of the opponent and a sense of escape is primary... Bourne movies were never meant to be cool...it's just grounded in realism and I absolutely love the shaky cam in Ultimatum....but didn't like it in the fight scene in Supremacy....I think Paul Greengrass improved upon his style.
