Just started getting onto Hunt again after a slight dip into it around 2020 so glad YT recommended you to me. "I'm a viking with a bow" was an instant sell. I've always been hesitant to feel confident with the bow until the update. Last night I rocked it with a free hunter on a night run and ended up with seven kills. The extra damage is really noticable and it's so quiet they couldn't figure out where I was until it was too late. 😛

@@REXNOR_TV While they aren't a mirror of reality, there is supposed to be some semblance of reality to them. A shotgun being a heavy hitter at 14 meters is not unheard of. What is crazy is a primitive hunting bow being arguably the best weapon in the game, even over the crossbow.

​@@squashi96zalen57One of the pledges in the event lets you run no matter what you're doing, that's how he's running and healing. Forgot the name but it also lets you crouch walk silently as a solo. With Necro, you revive only once but it restores all your health bars, like a boss banish, when you get up. I like it, you can actually play against long ammo after reviving now. If you can find another necro drop after you use your first, you can revive a second time btw, it's a rare drop from meatheads but pretty common from the fire boss. 3 big bars is the best because it's easier to fully heal and you get all your bars restored by Necro anyway. It's also safer than small bars against fire. Only team players need to think about small bars now.

10% damage buff which means increased kill range in all scenarios and increased partial draw damage as well. 9 meter 1shot to arms, 6 meters to legs. 28 or so meters ontap to chest if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to do more specific testing soon!

You do lose your character if you die, but you can save their loadout to a preset so that all you ever really lose for dying is money (and whatever experience you collected that round) The game gives new players a while where you don't lose your characters when they die (it lasted my friend a few hours). You can also always get free characters if you run out of money, they always come with free weapons that are decently powerful and beginner-friendly. I have thousands of hours and still choose free hunters every time I need a new one, I like the zero-to-hero story if I can keep them alive until the max level. I'd suggest giving it a go and seeing how you feel. There really isn't any other game like it.

I hate the bows. I think they are so OP. Too many one shot kills. I have hit people with a shotgun and done less damage than the bow.

If they were op people would be using them. The bow was and even with the update is inferior to the crossbow in most ways. It’s very hard to land shots and would often land shots on the arms which don’t kill. Additionally it slows you when drawn and makes a sound to alert enemies. In what way is it op? It should do high damage for the difficulty of use.

Everything in Hunt can one-shot and the bow is only good in the hands of someone who has practised a lot AND it has the limitation of no penetration and basically no potential on range. A shotgun can usually kill in the same situations as a bow would with far better mobility.
