It depressed me a lot, because the tree kept on giving him everything while the man kept on demanding so much from the tree. When I tell people that "The Giving Tree" is the saddest and most depressing story I know, they look shocked. But the boy only takes and takes, but lucky for him the tree will continue to give until it can give no more. That boy has learned nothing about how to love those around him and it genuinely angers and saddens me. The boy took everything from the tree and at the end, he was still only thinking of himself. So petty and so worthless. And to the video creator: I am not a nice man, and while I took my parents for granted when I was younger, my 47 year old self does not. Even at my worst I would help them where I could as I learned more and more of what they've done in my life. I don't know what kind of person you are, but don't include me when you use terms like "all of us." Not all of us act the same way.
