It's interesting how Sage pauses after Homelander compares himself to Caesar and then Sage says, "just like Caesar." Caesar was assassinated. Is that what Sage is really planning for Homelander?

My theory about Butcher is that he does have a power. I think that when he’s actually afraid of dying or being hurt he’s more like Luke Cage- unbreakable skin/endurance. Would explain why Ezekiel exploded trying to crush him, and yet MM could punch him without being hurt.

In the comics Hughie and Annie went to Scotland on their own solo trip before the final arc or 2 of the boys so maybe it's like that. They're going a solo trip maybe to spread Hughie's dads ashes or some other trip before the final arc.

If you do a rewatch of the ending scene you will notice hughie tossed his jacket to the corner of the room but when he comes back in with the coffee it's moved to the foot of the bed his mom slipped the V for sure

I think Butcher's cancer has become sentient and killed Ezekiel. I'm sure we're all mostly united in thinking that is the worm-like thing under his skin. It can come out and wreak havoc to defend Butcher. Either because it's protecting its human meat home, or it might have even formed a familial-like attachment to Butcher. And either he blacked out because he was being strangled, or the super cancer coming out shocks Butcher's system, and that makes him blackout.
