Another difference is homelander started off wanting to do good Noir started wearing his suit and sullying his reputation and he went crazy This was so noir could kill homelander because that was his only goal in life
@COMMANDR.0ID5 ай бұрын
same thing happened in the show universe, Homelander wanted to actually do good, but he liked the attention more; So when classic hero Black Noir got more attention from him, he kinda started hating noir. And later when after Homelander failed a save which lead to the people he tried to save dying, he was kinda messed up about it, Noir saw everything and helped him cover the situation up and get the limelight. That's probably when his brain started thinking that attention is more important then people. That's how their friendship started. This happened in an animated spin-off called The Boys: Diabolical, it's in the last episode and shows homelanders early years. My retelling might be slightly wrong but I haven't seen it in a while, but thats the gist of it.

One of the funniest things from the comic that never crossed over from the show is Deep doesn't have sea powers. His power is that he can fly. He's black in the books and Vaught needed a black guy with sea powers, probably for marketing reasons and he was the best they could find. Also he wears a giant heavy diving helmet at all times because of an ancient sea curse that was placed on him in his ocean living days which is obviously bullshit but he has to wear it anyway 😂

Giancarlo Esposito's Stan Edgar charactarises the comic book version's cold-blooded ruthlessness. He also delivers few dialogues from the comic book in the show. • Ryan's birth in the comics is used as an inspiration for Homelander's birth in the TV series. It is mentioned that Homelander ripped out of his surrogate mother's womb and started blasting laser which killed a couple of nurses. • Changes to Soldier Boy deserve a separate episode.

I watched horror movies with my parents when I was younger, and I still find actual violence disgusting. No amount of fake violence will ever desensitize me to real violence. Since you did the history of Conrad Carapax, Are you going to do history of OMAC, Overthrow, Dr Polaris, Posse and the Brotherhood of Evil who are all Blue_Beetle villains without a Scarab? Can you please do origin of DC the Reach who are the aliens who created the Scarab of the Blue_Beetle since no one else has done an origin video of them? Since you did the comic book origin Dan Garett, Ted Kord and Jamie Reyes the Blue Beetle, can you do comic book origin of DC Black_Beetle, Red Beetle, Green Beetle, Yellow Beetle and the Silver_Scarab?

When are you going to do history of Marvel's Sandman and Kurt Conners the Lizard since they made a live action comeback in Spider-Man No Way Home along with the Elementals who were mentioned in Spider-Man Far From Home?

No mention of how they COMPLETELY changed Soldier Boy. From his personality to his *cough* relationship with homelander.

The show is way better than the comics. Good character arc. More details. Plots. it shows how human the Boys are than the comic books. It adds more to the story. And It shows how and why Homelander is evil, sick, and twisted.

I don't think either of them are better, but I do think that changing the ideas was for the best. That's due to the fact that keeping them the same isn't very interesting.

The difference is that the actual original source material sucks and the Amazon series is just way better. Honestly one of the few times I’ve experienced this where the source material is just not as good as the adaption which is crazy 😂. The writer writes like a 13 year old who just learned a new cuss word and learned what sex is

That show was done a long time ago! And nobody is gonna beat DC or Marvel anyways. The major studio companies just have to do it right!
@kiwoxgen99294 ай бұрын
You sure about that? Ppl just getting bored of these supes stuff because of them And the boys is a fresh product to these industry 😏 How marvel went flop after the end game And DC still stuck with their reset, remake & reboot for X times 🙃

I can tell you one thing about The Boys, this is the only loosely based adaptation that I have ever seen done right, that is like one of the most impossible things Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg have ever done and they are lucky for getting some of that stuff right.

Then why even include Black Noir in the first place? At that point just make a new character that happens to do the same things Black Noir does if you're not going to do what Black Noir was literally created to do.
@dannybrine87184 ай бұрын
@diegomedina9637 publicity. I mean, it's not a good look for the seven to have lost 4 members. Especially when three of those losses were deaths. Especially an OG hero like Black Noir, who was round back in Soldier Boy's day.
@dannybrine87184 ай бұрын
@diegomedina9637 Also, this story isn't following the comics, Firecracker and Sister Sage existing should prove that.
