You kinda skipped some important context, such as Kate and Andre hooking up before Luke's death, Kate using her power to take Sam's regret and remorse away, making him more violent and dangerous, Soldier Boy was also emotionally and verbally abused by his father and the reason he didnt accept Homelander and called him a disappointment was not because of ego, but because he saw Homelander as a reflection of himself. Also, Homelander wasn't crazy the entire show...vain, and a liar, yes, but he became more and more psychotic as it went on, in the first season he was quite rational--he even figured out what happened to Tranlucent--but lazy and apathetic. He also saw Black Noir as one of his only true friends, and his death actually affected Homelander. Great recap though!

Regeneration doesn't always mean Deadpool-esque healing. Sometimes it just means that the character heals much faster and efficient, but not to perfection. Look at Deathstroke from the DC Universe. Rumored to be the inspiration for Deadpool. He heals much quicker and better than normal humans but it's not limitless, since his eye remains damaged to a degree that makes him blind on it. I feel like Noir is very similar.

Other heroes are not as durable as translucent. According to wiki, his skin's durability can be compared to one of a diamond and he has it only in his invisible state. Also not every supe has enhanced durability, for example Popclaw and A Train could inject comp V in their body, Kimiko got injured a lot of times as well.
