Yeah, even though he despised the role of Mike Brady. He kept doing it because he needed the work and he loved being around the kids. He got divorced long before the show and hardly ever saw his daughter so he turned the love for his daughter over to the 6 child actors. But he did not like playing Mike Brady. Being on the show with a smile was the biggest act of all for him.

I’m not sure you can say he despised the role. He didn’t like the Schwartz’s and their scripts. He was a good enough actor that he could have left and done something else for five years. I’m sure when he got to Heaven he was like, yeah, that definitely wasn’t how I thought I wanted to be remembered in my great classical acting career, but I really ended up making a difference with my life in a way few actors do, and generations of kids will always like me...

What I loved about this episode was that even though Greg & Marca had their own Finals to think of they were willing to go to bat to help Peter with his Science Course with Mr. Price. Barry Williams (Ex-Greg Brady) admitted that his Hair was a Mess in Year Three so he just let it go. Another admirable thing was that Chris Knight (Ex-Peter) admitted that he hated doing the Brady Bunch Kids Tour Concert in 1973 because he knew he couldn't "sing". He had a realism about himself that a lot of Teen Idols didn't have and got major slices of Humble Pie in the future.

In his book he said that when he turned 16, his hair went “insane” with natural curl-which we can plainly see. Ironically, all of three of the Brady boys got hit with the same “insane” natural curl as teens, although Barry suspects that Robert Reed could have gotten a perm. But poor Barry/Greg went through a phase where he tried to slick it down or just didn’t wash it, until Florence Henderson told him it just looked dirty. This looks like one of those times.
