I like what happened next. Mike remembered that the first picture (that Jan destroyed with a bicycle accident in the garage) was taken before Jan got glasses. He wanted to punish her by not letting her ride her bike but she said she sold the bike to pay for the new picture. I hope she got a new bike after that.

Ha! Ha! . The Funniest thing was that The Owner of The Jewellery Shop was the Same Man in this Episode. Also Carol isn't a very good Cook. Wouldn't she have waited for the Pan to heat up before "Frying" The Bacon. On the UK Soap Opera Coronation Street Carla Connor played by Alison King got "shade" because she used the wrong type of Frying Pan for Bacon.

When they took the first picture Jan didn't receive her glasses yet. I'm not sure how much time had went by between the first portrait session to the actual anniversary. Mainly because it would take at least two weeks for Jan's glasses to come in.

Every anniversary is usually celebrated. Not just 5 years or 10 years. Hell, the show was over in 5 years so it's a good thing they did celebrate one of them.

I have always wondered that. As far as I know Carol Brady did not have any kind of a job outside of the home. She was a full time wife and mother who stayed at home. Why did they even need Alice a full time housekeeper. Carol Brady could have done all of the work or housekeeping that Alice did, plus save themselves money.

People don’t understand that this is a television show. Of course a real stay at home mom might not have had a housekeeper. Alice was needed so that Carol was not a drudge and a slave cleaning house for her own kids and three additional boys who were not hers. That would have flopped in any era. Most TV shows had two or three kids and there was always a housekeeper if the mother was dead. Alice took over the dirty housework in her uniform so the character of Carol could just be young and attractive all the time. Alice was absolutely necessary to the show.

The housekeeper dynamic exists in every single story where the female has to be more than a drudge-from Nancy Drew to Hart to Hart to The Brady Bunch. Some other person has to take over the drudge work so the female character can exist as a cool person.
