This really needed the ending from “The Obsolete Man” to hit the message out of the park where he’s surrounded by the Board of Directors looking down on him as he did to his former employees. That would’ve submitted this as one of the greats from Twilight Zone’s lineup.

@@SimonStrange honestly I think the biggest thing with art is that a lot of it is passion. With a book sometime you can feel how the author's love or hate goes to the pages. With paintings the same thing capturing the moments. Artificial intelligence can't copy emotion. There are some things a computer should never be trusted to do. The coding stuff if you know how to run an excellent sheet or move from blue collar to white collar type stuff I get. I don't think it is for everybody because we will always need plumbers handymen and other things that require a human touch. The point in Hanley character is that he worked for Whipple family for so long that he felt he had to remain loyal to them no matter what, but he also couldn't stay silent about what he was going on. He was torn between loyalty to Whipple and supporting the fired workers. You can tell this by the fact that Hanley ended up the last employee who left the factory and even then not because Whipple fired him but because he resigned.

I don't think we will have to worry about AI for much longer because companies are starting to realize that they've wasted billions on servers with very little profit, plus we already have laws that say you can't copyright AI. In the future AI will definitely be a problem when it becomes cheaper but right now it's dying and good riddance. The real problem with AI is that companies are scared to stop supporting it because they have nothing else to show investors and they're desperate to show off something

The thing is, when it comes to corporate firing of workers to go cheap, I always think the workers were pretty miserable in the prison of cheap labor in the first place. At that time, being dismissed from menial manual labor still could have arguably opened up more self sufficient possibilities and opportunities. But that's certainly not the case anymore today eh?
