Talking of kids, my daughter followed my lead on Carnivore, and when her baby was about 4mths old, she started her on solids. She took to them instinctively and enthusiastically. Shes now 11months old, is off the charts literally on all metrics of growth and development, walked at 9mths. For brekky she demolishes bacon and eggs, for dinner she adores lamb chops, and favors the fat best. Because she has been chewing and chomping, her teeth came through early, and without much difficulty, she had 8 teeth at 9mths. My daughter compares her with her cousins baby born within 4 days of hers. The other baby is still soft and floppy, and vague. Her baby is a strong, agile, naughty problem solver, intent on discovery and escape. My daughter is sad, she wanted her to stay a cuddly baby, but Daisy has other plans. Carnivore is the natural way. I waited till 63 to work it out, she can have all the benefits from birth.

@@julienfroidevaux1143 I understand. I truly do I don’t know if this is going to make you feel any better, but I think we are all removed from our food sources. We go to the supermarket and the meat is already packaged in the meat department. I have been to Africa recently and have witnessed animals eating other animals. It’s not personal and believe me it’s very difficult to watch, and I even cried. But they are eating the diet that is appropriate for them. I don’t think mankind would’ve survived this long. I am SO thankful he said what he said about exercise. As a CrossFit coach and personal trainer, I can’t tell you how many times I hear limiting talk like “well I can’t because I’m old” or “I can’t because it’s too hard”. Functional movement and working hard are a requirement for healthy living, it just looks different for each individual. He’s right. You NEED to be practicing the squat. Get out and just walk fast, do a Tabata set on a bike. Yes!

I do not like it, I do not like victimization, but somehow I cannot help it and need that talk, despite the presence of others in the gym. We need trainers to push us to the limits. I thanked to mine.. I focus on lifting weights. I am a different person. I do not recall being so strong and energetic even in my 20s or 30s. More middle aged and older should go to gyms...or have a form of exercise. Especially women. Menopause brings a lot of changes..

Since following a carnivore plan with intermittent fasting I have lost 140 pounds and am feeling better about my health. I still have a ways to go but will stay carnivore unless my doctors tell me to stop. I do find I don’t eat enough but I am monitoring and won’t go the opposite way . My mother had Alzheimer's and after living with the disease she eventually lost the ability to swallow. At that point, I was asked to decide on very difficulty questions. Whether she should be given a feeding tube. During this time, my mother had no ability to speak. I couldn't ask her anything. She couldn't tell me what she was feeling. After some months, she aspirated, which means something went down into her lungs, It could have been water, or food, or acid reflux. I don't know. That gave her pneumonia, so she was put on a breathing tube. It was a horrible death. I had to make the choice to remove the breathing tube. She survived another day or so, and died. Since that happened, my whole attitude has changed. I won't put up with any nonsense from anybody. People joke around about eating carbs, how they love pizza, or donuts, or whatever it is. I know the consequence of a casual attitude to "treats". I am adamant to tell parents not to give their kids candy. The parents think candy makes kids happy. But I see the behavior problems, the tantrums, the kids crying and screaming. One you see how sugar is affecting cognition and behavior in children, you cannot un-see it. Yet there is always someone in the child's life, whether a parent or grandparent or parents of the child's friends, who are totally blind and oblivious to what they are doing. They think they can fix the child with "discipline", such as time-outs, or trying to reason with the child. The adults never consider that they are causing the problem by giving children sugar.

They were also not overweight, overeating people. So while I believe there is a gut brain connection to Alzheimer's as well as Parkinson's, I wish we would dissect these brains and figure out exactly what germ/metal/chemical is causing it. The latest claim that if we just stayed away from chemicals and quit eating sugar we would not get ALZ, maybe true for diabetes but does not connect to Alzheimer's who are generally in perfect physical health, thin but confused. We have plenty of overeating Americans with heart disease and diabetes they are not the same as the Alzheimer crowd. Please keep up the research there is still something we are missing.

We now have advancements in those products but different things that we create ie food production preservatives, fast foods processed foods insecticides… i guess we can’t really win since we don’t grow our own food and has limited options as whatever is available in the market - preservatives companies use farms use in our country and imports too. Great post and points. It’s not all that cut and dry. Alzheimers was documented long before the diet went to processed foods. Clinically noted in 1906. There’s certainly a chemical/food component but that’s not a cureall.

They may not have been eating processed foods but I wonder how many carbs they were eating? My parents both had Alzheimer’s and were of a generation (born in the 1920’s) that didn’t get a lot of processed foods and went through the depression, etc…but both my parents ate far too many carbs and I personally feel that is exactly why they had Alzheimer’s - especially since both of them had a Irish genetic inheritance and were sensitive to grains. Both of my parents blood sugar issues as they aged.

What an amazing video!!! I started this as I got out of the shower, got ready and made breakfast of eggs and bacon for me and my husband. Dr Chaffee makes the ultimate sense I've been carnivore for almost four months I had so many issues. I'll be sixty in March. I want to get better every day. I reversed my fatty liver, diabetes and diverticulitis. I've lost over thirty pounds. And so many other wins like no more bursitis, no more bleeding gums and I'm not winded while exercising. I have forty more pounds to go I need to work on my alcohol consumption. I'll have a couple of cocktails over the weekend. I'm working on it. And I do use muscle working exercises but I need to do more! Thank you for this! Bless you both🙏

My grandma is 88 and basically the same, except she eats bread in quite moderation and doesn't often have gravy ( not that gravy, without any bad ingredients, is bad !). She grew up on selenium-rich North Dakota soils though, before moving to WI. She used to use crisco and some other junk, but again, usually ate mainly vegetables, meat and eggs and moderate dairy ( incl. raw milk from own farm, and for years before it went to pushing the amount of grain fed). Except a brief bout of breast cancer in her 60s, she's been healthy and strong this whole time. I think it must really have helped tho, not having had all the OTCs, high-carb breakfasts, and artificial sweeteners in this, that and the other thing like I did, as an 80s kid, in spite of living on the farm and otherwise eating ok.

Give you Mother a methylmalonic acid blood test, which will show if her B12 tissue level is low. A normal B12 serum test won't show the tissue level, Only a methylmalonic acid test will show this. This acid is always elevated when the B12 is low at the tissue. God Bless

Great interview and such valuable information. Thanks! As a rancher, we like grain finished beef best for taste and it has more fat. If we put out grain hay (barley) or pasture grass hay for our cows, they’ll eat up the grain hay first every time. The deer in our place go straight to the grain fields to eat too. Grain fed cattle get a mix of grass hay and grain so there is a balance. I’m not worried about grain fed beef. Their 4 chamber stomachs can handle it.

What a fantastic session, thank you! My Mum died of Alzheimer’s and dementia and I am looking to avoid this. I already do Keto, so this was not a surprise to me, but what most people don’t realize is that muscle is your glucose sink, (just as trees are a carbon sink). So, when we age and reduce muscle there is nowhere for the glucose to go except into the bloodstream and then you get diabetes. I have flat feet and was told by the doctor that I could no longer run, so it was really helpful that you recommended other forms of exercise that I can do instead of sprinting. I don’t think I have seen this addressed anywhere else, so thank you again.

An excellent interview. This man makes so much sense and answers questions thoroughly giving comprehensive information. Also congratulations to the female interviewer for asking all the pertinent questions in the first place and knowing when to let her guest have the time required to give fulsome answers. Elsewhere I've seen interviewers who like the sound of their own voices so much they interrupt inappropriately and ruin the interview entirely. I got so.much from this that I'll return to this channel now often to take advantage of other interviews. Thank you so much for this interesting and informative interview. I'd recommend this channel.

Eating meat may avoid gluten. Gluten may hurt the gut lining so less nutrients absorb. A hair test to see good minerals/heavy metals may help. Enough protein may help and good oils. Dairy/soy/sugar/GMO may also hurt. Dairy may hurt making plaque on teeth/blood vessels etc.. Vit K2 with Ca may help. Vit D3/sunlight is a hormone. Eating organic/grounding/exercise may help.

I remember how the other mothers would look at me when they found out my kids drank whole milk. Whole milk, and meat nightly. I was constantly hearing "thats not healthy". I always said back maybe its not healthy for adults, but children need that dairy fat and protein to grow strong bodies and minds. They grumbled, but my kids were the smartest at their schools and in the top 10 percentile for size, not obesity, just size. they are both over 6ft. What one feeds ones children is so important. Whole milk=good, soda=bad, fruit=good candy=bad. Meat=good no meat=bad. freash fish on Fridays.

From my research grain-fed beef is GMO-fed beef in many cases. The retail counter workers are clueless they only sell to you. You must find a Farm direct order or find some local farmer but this is unfortunately not so practical for people living in cities so research and due diligence are paramount to protect your health. Personally, I eat lots of FAT directly from Mother Nature Vegan and Non Vegan.

I have been a carnivore my entire life; until three years ago my then doctor put me on a diet. Blood pressure rose. On the third year, yes I lost weight but I had a seizure, stopped breathing and hit the floor. My husband call emergency services. They found out my potassium was way to low, so they got it up. Then hours later I am home for a half hour and it happened again. Potassium dropped again. A few days later I saw a new doctor, and tossed my blood pressure pills in the garbage, and put me back on everything I used to eat. I feel better, but my spine is breaking down. I am getting a toxicology blood test in March, because they cannot figure out why. No lupus, MS, Cancer, R.A. etc. That is why I have to drive 5 hours away to try to pinpoint what is wrong. Just some fyi. I now ask my doctor and pharmacist if I should take any supplements before starting a new pill. The blood test will also let me know what vitamins I might be lacking.

I'm greatly grateful to have found this particular podcast about dementia. All of the information shared by Dr. Chaffee gives me hope that I can help reverse the onset of dementia on my husband's brain. I'm unsure though if I could buy the essential foods for his healthy nutrition considering the prohibitive cost of meat, eggs, butter, and milk from grass-fed animals(which are their healthy sources). Authentic olive oil, fatty fish like the wild caught salmon, tuna, mackerel, anchovies, sardines, etc. are likewise expensive. For some years, I've avoided eating meat because some say it's bad for digestion and it causes constipation and that the animal fat from bacon elevates bad cholesterol level. It's difficult to really know which diet is safer and better. Thank you, blogger of 5 Minute Body. BTW, I'm curious re the title of your channel. I have yet to find a different doctor who's as honest, truthful, highly knowledgeable and generous as Dr. Chaffee in sharing his expertise. Thank you to both of you from the bottom of my heart.
