I'm only ten minutes in to this fascinating interview, but just paused it to say that as someone who's familiar with ancient Chinese to English translations (Tao Te Ching for e.g.) the extraordinary subtlety, scope, breadth and multi-layered nature of the original texts is largely lost in translation to English. With the Chinese texts at least, the multiple possible meanings are known to have been entirely deliberate and intentional. Though I don't know the extent to which this is or is not understood by academic scholars, I can say that the standard English translations of these texts I've read are pale shadows of the originals when these are brought into vivid life by someone who actually understands them. The person who taught me was not merely fluent in modern English and Chinese but also in various iterations of ancient Chinese as it's evolved over thousands of years. Much more importantly, when discussing a Taoist text, he is someone with years of accumulated experiential knowledge of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual effects of Taoist practices, such as qi gong, nei gong, various forms of meditation and a wide range of martial arts, such as Ba Gua and Tai Chi Chuan. In other words he's directly experienced in body and mind what the ancient texts are referring to: through tens of thousands of hours of practice. This experience allows him to elucidate the text's meaning in a manner simply not possible to an academic translator - but only up to a point, because however well he explains things, the listener's understanding is also limited by our experience and perceptual capacity and conditioned filters. Come back to the same text a decade later and a whole new layer of meaning emerges! I'd like to think the bible has similar depths - though I find Mauro Biglino's take on its origins pretty convincing! Right back to the interview !

At 13:40 there's a quote from Danny's book Neuro-Apocalypse that sums this up well, which comes up as he mentions the Tao Te Ching as a parallel. "The Masoretes pruned the hyperconnectivity beneath the surface of the words... With the Greek NT and the Latin Vulgate, and later with the English KJV, the word was made flesh and crucified upon the unforgiving frame of Indo-European grammer." -Luke

Danny correctly calls out Mauro Biglianos short comings and I have done the same on his channel. He suffers from the very lack of all round knowledge of the Hebrew Bible that you allude to in your original comment. You talk about layered meanings and they are actually there in an ancient known Hebrew discipline called Kabbalah (Hebrew spelling QBLH) and it means parallel to each other. The Hebrews have a mnemonic for remembering these 4 parallel meanings it's a word that is spelled PRDS but that is pronounced paradise. It refers to the two trees in the paradise garden of Eden mentioned in the Bible. This is the first reference that the Bible text contains concealed information within its text that are effectively the fruits of the tree of knowledge in this garden. There are many other such references to this knowledge throughout the book Genesis. QBLH is an ancient and sophisticated form of cryptography the rules of which are published within Hebrew texts. Maurio and Paul Wallis are ignorant of these disciplines as are most Hebrew Biblical professors so it's no wonder that there is much confusion. The Bible was written primarily as a vehicle to transmit the QBLH within its mythology so that it was protected from untrained eyes and minds.

I think that master experienced gnosticism. In gnosticism you get knowledge from direct mistical experiences and that knowledge allows you to understand things in a wider, more near to the truth, manner. I've always thought that ancient texts have layers and layers of knowledge. It is a pretty smart way of compressing information and also to make it reachable to those who will understand it, or in other words, making the info aviable to each person in the level of knowledge that person is looking for. It is pretty funny and overwhelming/confusing but also satisfying for arvorescent/neurodivergent minds 😅
@robsellars9338
@robsellars9338 7 ай бұрын
@@Assamita01 not sure about the gnosticism bit, but you are bang on with the layered meanings in Mesopotamian ancient texts such as Hebrew and Sumerian Cuneiform. Gilgamesh is pure astronomy at its deepest level but the interesting thing is who originated that astronomy (the Hebrew Bible still contains the same concepts but in much more detailed form)? The Sumerian would appear to be older at first glance but the astronomy within the Hebrew text, whilst being more sophisticated, shows a system that is based on an earlier or older star system, so it needs more study to be sure.

This time I had embarked on a semi ascetic lifestyle meditating and doing yoga and not consuming any substances including coffee. James is great for unraveling the writings of the new testament around the first century CE. He also considers the source documents for the new testament which was the writings of the Hebrew Bible (before it was compiled officially as the tanakh 24 book version). However, he disappointingly doesn't concern himself with the QBLH of the Hebrew Bible which has to be its major reason for existence.

Thank you for the interview, Luke. I cannot pin point exactly at what time stamp Danny mentioned this, but it's interesting to note that he doesn't believe the modern translation (or interpretation) of the biblical flood is supported in the Bible. (Excuse me if I'm not remembering correctly his exact words). It would have been interesting to have heard his take on that specific interpretation, as your father mentions the narrative of myths all around the world from different cultures referencing a flood. Which also includes the story in the Bible which he has made reference of. So to think Danny believes a flood is not mentioned in the original language, would have been great to have expanded on to know what origin of meaning the text would have meant. I also find interesting that in this interview, and the other one with Mauro, the New Testament is spoken very little of. Of course the language of the Septuagint being greek, was not the main focus of the conversation which was on Hebrew. Nonetheless, I do find interesting that on some Bibles there are a lot of foot note references to literally hundreds of chapters and verses of the Old Testament which link/prove (according to the text)/justify the prophesies fulfilling, or the teachings themselves being true. And they seem to really make sense "connecting the dots". For example linking prophecy of Jesus with the book of Isaiah. But its interesting to try and understand Danny's observations because essentially the references of chapters and verses are "fit" under the modern, predominant, interpretation. Because if one of the more older, more literal interpretations of the older Hebrew were to be translated as such in the modern printings of Bibles, the "dots would not connect in the same way."... right? I'm not sure if i've explained myself correctly. Nonetheless, I was wondering if by accepting that the modern translation is wrong, if that's the reason of not going into analysis of the New Testament, which is heavily reliant on the modern interpretation. Thus nullifing it all together except for some mentions of Jesus. My apologies for the length of the text. Luke, thanks so much.

Thanks Jonnie. At 22:28 Danny mentions that he doesn't interpret the Bible as a historical document, but to the best of my recollection I don't believe the flood comes up in this interview at all. I do agree though that I should have gone into that with him. Maybe next time! As for the New Testament, again, perhaps something to explore next time. This was already a 3 hour interview, cut down to 2 hours for brevity, and Danny is such a well of knowledge and there is so much to explore with him that it's hard to capture it all in one go. -Luke

@@jonniewalke - Thanks for the politeness of your question (I'm getting some really weird emails these days!). It was a side point and could have done with more discussion, but I meant is that the text of the Noah story doesn't have anything at all to say about the planetary scale. Specifically, the word '' means country/land/earth (with a small e, as in the material under your feet, not the sphere floating in space). The story describes a flood that covers the land. That's not to argue that there wasn't a worldwide flood, nor that there was - but if there was it would have been experienced at a local scale.

13:34 Did Yahweh lie when he said Adam and Eve would die from eating the fruit? Was he referring to literal death or the death that comes from separation from him? It seems to me the serpent was the liar. Twisting what was said by God. The life of connectedness to the one who created them was forever changed. One could say that life died and a different way of being had to come about. And Adam and Eve did eventually die.

An interesting different perspective! Thanks to both of you. Although i disagree with your understanding of Zoroastrianism. I would like to see you in a debate with Dr. Jason Reza Jorjani on this. 16:07 Sorry but that's wrong, or at least very debatable. Yahweh isn't even close to the same as Ahura Mazda, and i think the Persians knew this too well. Yahweh is more akin to Ahriman or Angra Mainyu, the evil, jealous, genocidal & violent counterpart. Lucifer(Bringer Of Light)/Prometheus is more like Ahura Mazda, Lord of Wisdom & Light, the true creator and protector of mankind. 18:42 El shaddai, which can also be translated as "Lord of the Mountain", as we've heard in the interview with Mauro Biglino. 31:55 the roots for sexism in western civilization go waaay back. Ancient Greece wasn't a nice place for women. Compare that to the Persian Empire that was more progressive in that time and cosmopolitan. (With women in positions of political & military power)

Hello dear Graham Hancock. I also have a theory that could unravel the mystery in the Bible and Science! It's about the fact that, according to the Bible, humans have been on earth from the beginning. The Bible describes a jump in time, where at first I thought that time had stopped. Because God left the sun in the sky! But what if it was a time jump. It would explain the discrepancy as to why humans are 2.5 billion years old according to carbon dating! I'm talking about the chapter of David where I believe the Hittites were fought against! As I said, read the David chapter!

There's disturbing accounts in the Bible where God takes rare action and judges individuals (ie Ananias & Sapphira), communities (ie Sodom & Gommorah) and the whole earth (ie The Flood). Graham has said that there have been times when it seemed things got out of sync here on earth with the order of the universe resulting cataclysmic events. It would seem ancient people attempted ways in which to live independently of God (ie Adam & Eve ingested the fruit which promised to "open their eyes" and "make them gods") resulting in catastrophic consequences (The Fall; expulsion from The Garden). I guess, in light of all the research Prof. Hancock has done, why does he seemingly promote ancient pathways and channels to the supernatural world (by use of drugs) when the results of such activity aren't proven to be safe nor trustworthy? We all possess the capacity to be deceived, right?

Good understanding of the Hebrew language and lexicon but lacking the fundamental esoteric understanding that the tree of life provides as the diagrammatic key for alchemical interpretation. There aren’t different Gods, there’s one. That one is expressed in multitudes of awareness we call moods and cosmically are called ages. Just like revelation of one name to Abraham and another to Moses. I agree that is mostly not a historical document. And I love the ideas given. I do however think it’s so easy to go from a great idea to a far reaching conjecture really quickly. From one comes the other and one is hidden in the other. The tree of life shows how each sphere is masculine to the sphere following but that same feminine sphere becomes masculine to the one that follows that! It’s high math and science with biological, cosmological, energetic, metaphysical and implications. All English translations are transliterations. Big difference. But again, I like that you pointed out in the beginning Creation was in the head, this parallels Hinduism and Mahayahna Buddhism quite perfectly.

The official narrative has been trashed in my opinion. We know there was power and technology in ancient times. We know that.

Graham Hancock interrupts and talks directly over Joe Rogan on his podcast and then in the next sentence Joe tries to say something and Graham Hancock raises his voice and says just let me finish! He did this before on the art Bell show. And this is why I can't take anything he says seriously even if you show me evidence.

Not quite what I expected. I couldn't find any direction here. Just me I'm sorry. I know beliefs are very powerful and when one "Picks Them Up" they always join that group and want to spread their beliefs.

Thanks. I don't consume any animal products, and this was me after taking anti-histamines, but it was filmed after a day of frolicking in a tall grass field during the peak of pollen season. Probably a mistake! -Luke

Check this out, March 1st will be the new millennium. My name is Rich Giroux. I am a Taurus, I live in a town called fish, I am from Swan river Turtle Island, my true name is Windwalker, the 4 winds are my guardian angels, I am a Cree. Can you see the code in that? It hits every single thing in your bible. I am he. Him, the one. Nothing you expect, nothing you wanted, everything the world’s needs. Tansi wakomakan? How are you, all my relations? Only the most studied will see all the truth in this paragraph. Boom Christians, Jews, muslims. Boom!

This is an angelic seed war between God and Satan tracking right back to Genesis. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” Tell me, what seed is "...your seed..." compared to "...her seed..."? This is ANOTHER seed different from the seed of mankind...

No, he says they wouldn't have made clothes out of Calamus, which is how "Kaneh Bosm" is translated in some versions of the Bible.

He says Calamus and cannabis back and forth fast, with an accent and a stuffy nose, so some words are hard to hear. He says not with calamus, a read/grass.

You lost me when you started moving letters around to create a new narrative. I take this as just another way to party and not be responsible for engaging the second heaven, which is strictly forbidden for believers...The getting high is one thing. Entering the spirit world through mind altering drugs is an invitation to demonic oppression, possession as well as a one way ticket to the lake of fire reserved for the devil and his angels...

Acts 2:38 KJV - Have charity [to have compassion] And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall [cover the multitude of sins.] 1 Peter 4:8 KJV - Love [to love thy neighbor as thyself] Hatred stirreth up strifes: but [love covereth all sins.] Proverbs 10:12 KJV - Endure [predestined are those that endure until the end and do not die in sin] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall [endure unto the end,] the same [shall be saved.] Mark 13:13 KJV - Repent from sin [or All will likewise perish] I tell you, Nay: but, [except ye repent,] ye shall [all likewise perish.] Luke 13:3 KJV
