It’s crazy to me how Kanye speaking out about people gate keeping him has been such a controversial topic. Looking back at this interview Charlamagne repeatedly asks Ye why everything is about money with him, even calling him egotistical and narcissistic. When Ye broke down why major name brands have the ability to trap all of the creative minds in a box Charlemagne’s response was “You know you don’t have to work in this industry, you can just work in Walmart” Ye replied “No I have to create a Walmart”. This small segment really illustrates the fact that the majority of people simply refuse to enable a visionary to create change.

Kanye is just using big words, real geniuses are people of action they don’t say shit, they just do it. Kanye playing basketball with a football, just because it’s different and no ones done it before doesn’t mean that it’s great. But he does have point when he says that people are sheep because he’ll put a price tag of $300 on a plain white tee and people will still buy it, humans in this era are truly devolved.

I feel Kanye cause for people like us, its hard to explain things in a way that ''normal'' and by normal i mean NPCs, can understand. We are not talking on a small scale, the impact we are looking to make because of our calling is meant to be on a big scale. Talking about humanity here, Charlagmange missing the whole argument and keeps interrupting him. He is speaking right here, why he in fact went under Jay- Z. To learn how to explain things in a more calm matter without getting feelings involved, its hard when someone is testing what your purpose is. He stands behind everything he says and that's why he is one the greats. He even admits that his approach is often flawed, but the message he meant. It just came out on a different radio frequency than they were able to handle in that room.

No he doesn't. If anything Kanye sounds like a clown with all that victim talk. THEY this and THEY that and corporations this and that. He has enough money and fame to make his own fashion or anything he wants and run it under his own company. Sway already told him that and he deflected by telling sway he doesn't have the answers when use your own money IS the answer.
@young_raymond475 жыл бұрын
@@tblack9711 I'm not even going to get too deep into this discussion because you are certainly speaking from an ill informed position. Maybe he has enough money to do so now but he didn't back then, even though he thought he did, which is why he lost a bunch of money. Remember in 2016 when he was 58 million in debt? That was because he had been trying to use his own money. Maybe you're unfamiliar with Pastelle but that was the unsuccessful fashion line he had created when going by your suggestion. Watch the interview he did with Charlemagne last year and you might get a better understanding of the semantics behind starting a new brand. Hope this helps.
@tblack97115 жыл бұрын
@@young_raymond47 that's business, you're going to lose money in the beginning. Part of the reason he failed in thd beginning was because of him and the crazy things he says and does. The first thing I remember him doing was putting out a plain white t shirt for $100 due to his narcissist mentality he thought it will blow up because his name was on it. Then he put out those ugly shoes on top of the fact he burned bridges in the fashion industry which probably held him back too. He's too vocal about what other people do instead of just doing his thing and not worrying about what "they" think. Charlemagne was right when he said we love him for his music, nobody cares about his clothing stuff. His problem is his mouth and thinking he's more important than he really is.
@young_raymond475 жыл бұрын
T Black people did care about his clothing though. His nike shoes were super successful so he asked nike for creative control over future releases but they told him his role as a celebrity is to promote product and collect a cheque. Hence why he jumped ship to adidas. If you seriously think no one cares about his clothes you must’ve been blind for the best part of 10 years.

Damn. He's always portrayed as crazy but if you listen to him, he's so on point. What he says about his technique on saying things is too harsh and too loud, so true. He knows he sounds harsh but it's just unfiltered. He is wrong at times, but in order to be on another level like he is, you have to risk being wrong at times. It's how we all learn

He’s a fuckin hypocrite.

NAw the problem is if you listen close, he makes some points and is delusional on others. He's a racist and egotistical and an extremely good bullshitter.

well, he is literally crazy. he's bipolar and off his meds atm. he says alot of fairly obvious stuff with gravitas/is probably in a manic phase here

@alecboyce19984 жыл бұрын
Well that’s Cuz right off the bat he insulted Yeezus and that’s very tactless it’s very honest but it’s very tactless. There is no bedside manner in Charlemagne’s words to Kanye. Imagine doing a press junket for a film and you’re the interviewer and you tell the actors and actress that the movie is steaming pile of dog shit during the interview you just don’t do that and that’s what Charlemagne did to Kanye. The guy deserved whatever response Kanye gave him.
