THE BREATHTAKING NORWEGIAN FJORDS!! (LOEN, RAKSSETRA, OLDEN) 4K

Our Norwegian Road Trip continues driving from Bergen to the Fjords of Norway. Our first stop is Loen; after taking our first ferry in Norway from Oppedal to Lavik. It was raining most of the day, however we still managed to hike to a popular & one of the most beautiful destination in the area - Rakksetra! The hike was little challenging because of mud but the views from the top were amazing and spectacular! After the hike, we drove to our next destination - Lovatnet lake which has beautiful emerald green color but little said history. We ended our day at beautiful small village between the fjords, Olden. Tomorrow we will continue our trip to driving via scenic route over the mountains and fjords to our next destination - Geiranger. This is our our journey around Norway, from Oslo to Bergen and beautiful fjords around Geiranger all the way to amazing Lofoten Islands!! Loen is not located in northern Norway. Not even close. 😃The fjord called Nordfjord is the furthest north in the county of Vestland, but there are countless fjords further north in Norway. Otherwise, great video from the western part of the country.

Thank you! We stayed in Olden because we were planning to visit Briksdale Glacier next day but due to the rain we had to skip that. Loen is a bigger town so has more to offer but if you like to spent a relaxing night in a beautiful surroundings, it's a great choice. Hope that helps.

We are planning a 7 to 9 days trip to Norway at the end of June/ beginning July. Is the weather warm during that time? It’s a big country, do you have any recommendations about which places to visit in Norway? There is so much to see and I feel we won’t have enough time to see all of those. We are planning to rent a car and explore the Fjord/ waterfall areas.

we think that is a perfect time to visit Norway! We started our trip in Iceland end of June and around July 2nd our Norway road-trip. The weather was comfortable but not hot and you can expect some rain. We drove a lot because we wanted to see a lot 😀 We definitely recommend Lofoten Islands, Bergen area, Loen and drive through Trollstigen road. The fjords around Geirenger are beautiful but it was raining most of the time so we couldn't explore much. We have couple videos from Norway so you can check for more ideas. Ticket for ferry ... you pay as you arrive at pier ... or in advance ??

The ferry fee was deducted from our car rental pass. We only bought in advance ferry tickets to Lofoten Islands because it's 3 hours ride and space is limited.
