Hands down the best concert I've been to. We smoked a joint before going in and made our way to the front. Mid-set, my best mate passed out from the overwhelming realization that he was watching BJM live. I carried him out and slapped him back to consciousness, we made our way back inside just as Pish started and met two Spanish girls. I flew out to Vegas the next day, sitting in my seat with a huge grin on my face - thinking about this gig. Fuck I miss live music and I love this band so goddam much.

@dethkon3 жыл бұрын
@@digger5521 It's a shame, too. IMO, DANDYS RULE OK is a great album. The Dandy Warhol's Come Down is like 2/3 of a great album. 13 Tales is worse, more pedestrian... but it does have two good songs (Bohemian Like You is a banger, Godless is decent). After that, the only Courtney Taylor song I've ever liked is "We Used To Be Friends." I'll admit that it's kinda corny, but at least it has some energy. What sucks is that Taylor's voice is completely shot. I watched their concert to commemorate the closing of that club/theater in Portland (the one where they shot a lot of their music videos). They tried to play mostly songs from their first two albums (Not Your Bottle, Genius, Ride, Boys Better, etc), and Taylor just could not hit the notes anymore. It was fun to hear the old tunes, but also very sad to see the guy struggle. Then last year he put out "Tafelmuzik Means More When You're Alone." I don't know what Tafelmuzik is, but I listened to it alone and it was some of the worst music I've ever heard.

There're a lot of bands that I like, but when you hear them in concert it's a big disappointment. BJM is amazing in concert. It's almost like the audience brings out the best in them. I never tire of their live recordings.

I went to the BJM Concert two weeks ago, in São Paulo/Brasil. I can tell that was the best show that I saw live, in my 30 year of life. They are so fuckin dope!

For a band who have produced countless albums (albeit some of them absolutely weak) it’s pure magic how they remember to play each one! Anton is a musical genius.
