greek fire in penteli north of athens in august 2024 was like that and even worst 105.000 acres burned the 7th time at least in 40 years period. In 2009 the same area was burned with 210.000 acres. Wildfires are major problem that takes time in order to be less distructive. Mllions of euros against the flames to supress but no real forest management and mega fires is the result

The Airport Fire was unintentionally ignited by an Orange County public works crew using heavy equipment in Trabuco Canyon. Two employees were moving and emplacing large boulders as barriers on Trabuco Creek Road, with the intention of preventing the public, primarily motorcyclists from accessing a part of the canyon filled with dry brush because of the high fire danger. Line fire was started by arson and the person who started it is under arrest. dunno what cause bridge fire tho.

It has to do with dry, arid conditions, wind, and mountainous terrain.. it's a recipe for disaster.. but like your previous commenter said, if you have a better plan, oh please, let us know. Call CalFire immediately and give them those tips. But from what I've seen, literally my whole life, is that local firefighters and CalFire put out fires all day every day quickly and successfully. Saving lives, saving homes. Every few years one or two like this comes through unreachable terrain in just the right conditions and is "uncontrollable" for long periods of time, until it's back in an area more accessable

Humans are so destructive. Yes fires are a natural occurrence as well, and in the big picture are part of a healthy life cycle for forests, but I feel for the animals.
