@@sansanzahau6716 do you know about sub families? Kuki-chin-mizo, SAL, Tani, sinitic(chinese), bodish(tibetic) groups are all sino-tibetan Languages. First go read about the SAL family, which comprises of jingpho(kachin), rawang, lisu, Northern Naga and kacharis. Kacharis are from kachin region only, who descended south and chased away the indo-aryans, the indo-aryans called them as kachari and the Burmese call them as kachin. Even bodo, a kachari language has high affinity with thadao(kuki) and tidem chin, has high affinity for dimasa. Still they belong to separate sub-families. Kachari is nothing but a name variation of kachin in indo-Aryan accent. Also FYI, kacharis live even closer to kuki-chin than kachin. This groups or sub-families are determined by Anthropologist on the basis of their origin and language affinity. Kuki-chin-mizo in that regard are distinct from SAL, they have a different lineage. Also being sino-tibetan, are you going to say bodish and kuki-chin are same? Just because they are from the sino-tibetan family?

This video is really helpful , especially for Burmese who kept saying Kachins are Burmese, even if they know about Panglong agreement. There is truly nothing left to believe from the Myanmar Government promises for Kachin people, their genocides and discrimination for many almost a century have provoked too much hatred in Kachin people's hearts. Every assurance they gave to Kachins and the actions they have done are just so far like heaven and earth. There can truly be no peace for both sides if Kachin only gained their autonomy region. Also, there cannot be a single promise that these genocides and discrimination will stop if Kachins sign peace treaty regarding to the ways The Burmese Government and Burmese military have been treating to these Kachins since the day it got its independence. If Myanmar government can't stop the civil wars, (honestly) they should better be thinking about giving independence to the respective regions. I mean how would you feel if a stranger who is completely not related enters into your house and start making himself comfortable and eats and use all you have without your permission and not being grateful. But instead he kicked you out of the house and says " it is his house." How would you feel then? And you know >? This is exactly how Myanmar government is treating to ethnic groups.

Chins and Kachins ancestors have the same roots dating back to China and Mongolia. There were no Chins or Kachins long time ago. There was just Jingpaw, name of defeated Mongol battle division from China that ran away to places what is today known as Kachin and more remaining places in China, like Tibet and Yunnan. This is a very complicated history and not many people know this because Kachins and Chins are still small people. If you want to fully understand how Kachins and Chins are related, you will first need to understand origin of Kachin people because Chin people migrated to Chinland from Kachinland . So both their history chapters are related. Their languages and cultures may seem different now, depending on their neighbours and environments which have influenced their culture's evolution. And also Chinland and Kachinland terrains are not plains land but very hilly which made people made people from each side travel less. Thus, lost connections back in ancient time. But important thing to take note they do have similarities up until today, not only culturally but also linguistically👌.

@@KachinElpis OK, thank you. Talking about self-determination usually implies the question of an independent country will be put to a referendum to make secession legitimate. I'm not sure, though, how Burma's powerful neighbours and even the West would feel about Burma breaking up into dozens of new international actors, I wouldn't be surprised if the world turns out to be against it as a bunch of new countries would bring a degree of unpredictability so they might try to talk Kachin and others into disarming and de facto autonomy in a federal Burma with one federal army and one foreign policy. That might entail sweetening the deal with talks of financial aid and investments but it might also entail appeasing and even helping the Burmese junta in order to keep the country descending into a breakaway chaos. But that's assuming the central government remains strong enough and it might not be easy. Ethiopia is a similar multiethnic country breaking at the seams and there secession of at least some regions seems almost impossible to prevent.

Yes My friend they are not speaking same language family with Mongol but you need to also consider the fact that when Kachins migrated to Kachin Land centruies ago they didnt just directly migrated to Kachin Land from Mongolia straight away. They were stopping from places to places inside China and Tibet and lives there long which led to many intermixing with the natives of those lands. Therefore their language was also influenced bit by bits from these tribes their members married with.
@gumhk90214 жыл бұрын
My friend told me that he read This Jingpaw history book From China that... Alright I will just summarize the story. Actually Jingpaw people existence dates back Xiongu's . . First I wanna help you understand the origin of our language. So, long ago ,It was the time when Chinghis Khan led his mighty army to conquer Tangut Kingdom also known as Dangxiang 党項 . During the the conquest, two great generals of Chinghis Khan was killed in the process, which outraged the Great Khan . He was so outraged that he immediately ordered all Tangut men no matter young or old to be slaughtered in sight. Even young born infants weren't shown mercy if they were boy ,leading to a big massacre which ultimately wiped Tangut kingdom from Earth's surface. And with the remaining women and wives of the slaughtered Tanguts, the Mongols took with them as their wives. The Children that were born from these parents learnt both parents' ways of living and spoke like their parents. But the children were more influenced by their maternal sides since their fathers as being Mongols were always busy fighting with enemies for their Khans or died from fighting.( OK , i;m gonna have to skip several history chapters here.) As a result , the children spoke like how their parents do, basically a mixture of both Tangut and Mongol but more influenced by Tanguts since spending more time with maternal sides, which soon developed into a language that is now in modern days spoken by Jingpaw people. The language is more influenced by Tibeto-Burman than Mongolian because of natural language evolution that can take place depending on the environment and neighbors they have lived with through out the centuries. Let alone our geography distance. I mean even in this new century the Mongols are using Cyrillic alphabet and Jingpaws are using Latin alphabet. Languages are always being influenced. But it would also be wrong to think that Jingpo do not have words that are similar to Mongol words or have Mongol roots. For instance would be The Jingpaws address their father as Awa while similarly ,Mongols address their father as Aав or Aav. thank you for reading.

According to what I have heard from Myanmar tangshang who live along with kachins as we do here in India aswell, jingphos were the younger brother of tangshang ancestors so were the chins. The connection from chin to kachins are connecting through naga tribes. Some of the chin tribes are said to be migrated from tangshang origin to their location in Southern present areas. We call tai people as sham meaning those who lives in the plains where we lived in the hills. And i had always wondered tangut being a point of origin for my tribe. Similar ancient Tibeto-Burman speaking kingdom. And even simalar naming. Tangshang means origin of tang clan and shang clan. Two remaining brotherly clan. Kachins most probably are from shang clan as per my research. Because shangs clan has the most linguistically similar with the present spoken jingpho. Although most of the northern naga tribes are grouped with kachins and bodos to form a language group called as sal. And i can vouch for the similarities with kachin/jingpho linguistic words. BTW, we call father as wa/awa/ewa etc aswell. Also here in arunachal the tani tribes call father as aba/abo/aab etc which is more similar with Mongolic language and their culture is somewhat aswell.
