Careful on prying it like that for the folks trying this, that's attached to a bolt which is attached to plastic tab on the inside, once that snaps the bolt that's actually holding it on will let go and it'll just be the plastic tabs holding it on.

I highly recommend them, look amazing at night and makes it easy to read your plate.

You did way too much work, all you had to do was go to the plastic cover located above the top of the license place and move the cover gently with your hand or screw driver from the left side, to a tiny bit to the right and that unlocks the plastic cover from the car and everything just pulls out. No need to undo all that stuff.
